GameFreak's new game for the Nintendo 3DS eShop has been announced as Soritia Horse, a solitare and...horse racing game.
The game is divided into Solitaire Phase and Control Phase. The Solitaire Phase allows you to play solitaire to improve the bond with your horse and make them run better. The Control Phase sees you use the touch pen to navigate the courses, reacting to certain parameters and course attributes. Races continue by switching between phases back and forth. In the final stretch, you use items and power you collected along the way, plus a whip to send your horse over the finish line. Raise your own horse, turn it in to a QR code and share it with others. Soritia Horse will be released on July 31st on the Nintendo eshop for 3DS in Japan.
I don't know where they got the idea to mix solitare with horse racing, but solitare can be easily played online or on a PC, whatever. I don't see the point in this game, as the horse-racing really doesn't even seem to add much difference to the game.
They might as well just make it a timed solitare game, horse racing is weird for this.
