^ It didn't die, because I always put my Gamepad back in it's cradle charger when I'm done using my Wii U, and it always turns on. But I don't know.

Also, Wii U update? I thought you could transfer data between Wii Us already...and I'm glad they added other controller support for the eShop, it's annoying to have to switch to the Gamepad if I'm using another controller already.

I wonder if because there's also a Wii U update now, if cross buy might be happening? Since there's been a ton of eShop maintenance lately on Wii U and 3DS, and a big 3DS update, and this Wii U update. There's something going on.

Maybe there's something more to all of the small Wii U updates?

Yay! Stability! I'm really going to notice all these "enchancements" they keep making. Razz

Uh, there has to be something more to them all, there has pretty much been a new Wii U/3DS update like this every week for over a month now...

Does anyone think that the Wii U Quick Start Menu should include more than just 8 software titles? I'm not really going to complain about it being a bad thing, just because the Quick Start Menu makes the Wii U amazingly fast when using one of the 8 recently used software shown. But I'm thinking Nintendo should update it at some point to allow you to choose from anything on the Wii U Menu without actually having to go to it. I tend to play different games a lot.

There should have at least been 12 options on the quick start since my main games on quick start are VC games, the Wii menu, eShop and Mario Kart 8.

Yeah, and another thing, I think pressing the power button on the Wii U should still start up the Quick Start Menu. Even though the menu has been around for months now, I still tend to press the power button on the Wii U itself first, and it annoys me when I have to go through the regular menu just because of an accidental button press.

Here are 2 new bundles that are coming soon with one only coming to Walmart.

Nintendo should have just made the  3D World and Mario Kart 8 bundle into one since who even buys systems at Walmart?

Options have been added to Power Settings that allow users to hide certain software from the Quick Start Menu

    Changes to the HOME Menu:

The design and layout of the HOME Menu has been updated

    Changes to the Nintendo eShop:

Disabled usage of characters not used when redeeming Nintendo eShop cards (O, I, Z, etc.)

Improvements to system stability and usability:

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

I am so happy they've finally decided to let you add or hide your Quick Star Menu titles, I have been wanting that ever since it became a thing. It annoyed me that it used your 8 most recently used titles instead of you being able to choose which ones are there. The folders are also pretty cool, I have way more apps on my Wii U than my 3DS, because I can fit everything on the Wii U System Memory whereas I'm using a 2 GB SD card on my 3DS. So it only made sense to have folders on the Wii U too.

Can we disable the Quick Start completely?
Some ad came up once for Smash Bros. when I wasn't at home, I came back to play and the GamePad was dead...

But at least we can select titles to have on the Quick Start.

^ Yeah that's one annoying thing, you should use the Wii U Gamepad charging cradle to prevent that, you can just put it in the cradle when you're not using it, and it'll always be completely charged.

Although, I think that instead of being able to disable Quick Start, they should just let you disable the ads that Nintendo sometimes puts there.

When the quick start menu comes on click on settings and then click on quick start settings. You can then switch the alerts off so you Gamepad will not longer auto power on at random times.

This update is really cool though since the Wii U should have had folders since release. I also turned off everything minus the games, eShop and Wii Menu from showing up on quick start.

What do you guys what to see in a future Wii U update?

Personally, I'd like to have the ability to have a COMPLETELY custom Quick Start Menu, not just be able to hide apps that aren't games...it's pretty much pointless to do that, because I never use the apps I have hidden, so they wouldn't have shown up anyway. I'd rather be able to have a choice between which games are on the Quick Start Menu and which aren't.

Also, they need to fix that issue I keep having most of the time, where I turn my Gamepad on and it says it can't connect to the Wii U...
