Nintendo of Japan is now selling Wii U Gamepads separately from the console, for around approximately US $100.

Nice! Hopefully this means we'll be seeing some dual Gamepad support soon! (or not because I really don't think it's going to happen this late into it's lifespan :p) I'm surprised the price is so high still...you'd think over 3 years later they'd start selling them for at least slightly cheaper than what they were worth at launch.

While Gamepads are not cheep to make. We might see the duel support on the NX.

This makes me think the Gamepad will be supported on the NX now that they're finally selling them separate. The price isn't too bad for them. Thankfully mine is fine and needs no replacement. I know it's Nintendo of Japan but Nintendo of America will start doing this eventually.. right?

^ I'm not sure, they may. And personally $100 seems like a bit too much to me, if NoA or NoE starts selling them I'm hoping for slightly cheaper than Japan.

Well, I'm hoping if they're gonna sell this in NA, there won't be parents fooled in buying a second Gamepad(which there probably will be), when the Wii U currently supports only one. I think 70$-80$ price would be fair.

I suppose dual Gamepads would be nice on NX considering the Wii U utilizes Wiimotes.

That may be necessary for me because only my gamepad isn't working...

The Nintendo Wii U is very underrated, The Gamepad feels very nice to hold and isnt gimmicky at all.

Your kidding right? The Wii U gamepad is essentially a bulky tablet. :p

^Actually, it's quite comfortable.
I much prefer the GamePad over the 3DS.

Personally, I think it LOOKS like a bulky tablet, but it's surprisingly light and comfortable. I guess it depends on the shape of your hands though, really. I feel like that's why there are multiple 3DS sizes, but they don't have something similar for the Gamepad. Could be useful.

Agreed with LP. It's not THAT bad to hold; I like the variety of controls, plus I feel comfortable, I don't see how it isn't...

It slides out of your hands if you don't have the right hand size really. I do enjoy the gamepad quite a bit with that said.

I mean, it's obvious some comfort was compromised for innovation, but I'm perfectly content with that, it still feels pretty nice, and it's surprisingly light.

Light? It's a bit heavy...
At least my hands feel comfortable while playing.
