The chatbox is an essential feature of the Nintendo Forum Site and is an area where members would settle down to chat and discuss about various things. Whether they be funny or serious, the chatbox is an area of the forum that most members should be familiar with and this guide should provide some assistance to users who aren't too familiar with the chatbox commands that can be performed.

Arrow  Remember, that none of these commands are mandatory to use. They are just fun extras that you can utilize during your chatbox sessions.

    Alas, let's begin.

    THE BASIC CHATBOX COMMANDS

    Arrow The Away status:
*This command will make your status to be "Away" on the chatbox. Use this whenever you're not active or when you're absent on the chatbox (if you wish).

Type in either of the following to get the Away status:
    Code:
    /away

    or

    /abs

    Arrow Writing in 3rd person:
*This command will allow you to write in third person perspective. For example, if I use this code it will show up as "Zero Revolution understands the rules!" if I was to type "/me understands the rules!" on the chatbox.

Type in the following code  to write in 3rd person perspective:
    Code:
    /me

Arrow Exiting the chatbox without using the log out button
*Use this code to exit the chatbox without the use of the log out button.

Type in the following code to perform this action:
    Code:
    /exit

    THE CHATBOX RULES

Here in the Nintendo Forum Site, we have provided the chatbox as an opportunity for you, as the users, to utilize and discuss about various topics with your fellow forum users. However, please be advised that we do have rules for the chatbox as well. They may be similar to our general rules; however, please take the time to read through them.

    1. Do NOT abuse the Chatbox Commands and the BBCode system. Chatbox Commands and the BBCodes are fun to use but if you think you ever going to abuse it. Please don't because why would you abuse the Chatbox Command and the BBCode system? Be sure to use the Chatbox Commands and the BBCode for your fun purposes, but not for spamming/trolling or anything stupid.

    2. Be respectful to your fellow members. Avoid talking about other users from behind their backs and please do not say anything inappropriate about users either when they're present on the chatbox or away from it. If we, the Nintendo Forum Site staff, spot anything hurtful in the chatbox directed towards other users, we won't hesitate to give warning kicks or even bans (depending on how serious the situation is).

    3. Do NOT ask or beg for chatbox powers. Chatbox moderators are given their powers to keep some control over the chatbox. Only users who've deserved their status to be chatbox moderators (which is TNFS Global Moderators and Admins) will be given powers (as they're expected to use their powers wisely). Please don't try to beg or ask for these powers just to utilize additional chatbox commands for troll/stupid purposes. You're not going to get these powers this way.

    4. Avoid spamming on the chatbox. A rule that most people will ignore, but it has to be mentioned. Please avoid spamming repeated messages, emoticons/similes, etc. on the chatbox. Only use the chatbox when you have something worthwhile to say. Spamming in the ChatBox can lead to a ban from using it.

    5. Avoid changing your text color into something that we can't see your message. Do not use bloody gore text colors that blends the forums chatbox. It may cause seizures and it will hurt the members eyes. Also no, we're not going to highlight your unreadable text. Simply just change your text color into something that the members can see what are you trying to say!

Thank you for reading this guide and enjoy the chatbox as you please! Razz
