    Water Levels Empty Water Levels

How do you feel about water levels?

I hate most of them due to a change in mechanics, but some actually played very well, like Sparkling Waters, Noki Bay, Aquarium Park, and the water-themed galaxies in the SMG series.

In 2D platformer games, I hate water levels, I find them boring and the controls are generally awkward. (although in Rayman Legends/Origins I thought the controls worked well) For 3D platformer games, I love water levels, I really don't know why since the same reasons should also apply here. Maybe it's just the fact that the levels are designed well.

Thinking about it, there are actually very few water levels in most other game genres. But I tend to be fine with them when they do show up in other games.

It depends on the game, normally I dislike a water level if it has you go really deep and you may drown, maybe it's ptsd from Ecco, but generally I enjoy water levels, so pristine and peaceful.

For the Zelda franchise, it depends on the game for weather I love it or hate it. For OoT: Hate it. Wind Waker: Love it & it's a lot of fun. Majora's Mask: LOVE IT. In the Mario franchise: I loathe most all water stages: save SM 3D Worlds lvls which are very intuitive for how they play.

But yea, depending on the game it depends on if I hate the water lvl/world therein or not. *shrugs*
