Jinx's Top 200 Pokemon

Post by Nino on Thu May 22, 2014 3:09 am

There are 721 Pokemon total now as of Gen VI. This ranking will show 200 which I like the most. Predict if you want!

#200

Lilligant is one gorgeous dancer that takes Bellossom and improves it. That flower hat is rather nice-looking. I like the southern belle style as well.

#199

I like Claydol's origins of being a shakokidogu. The concept of an ancient living toy combined with association with laser beams is always a plus.

#198

A silicon based segmented serpent? Steelix is a huge improvement over how Onix struggled to do much aside from defense.

#197

Lickilicky is such a big eater with an overly long tongue. It's rather funny how this thing can learn Explosion.

#196

Swellow's determinator attitude just adds up to its fearsome swallow self. Boomburst seems like a waste however as its Special Attack is very bad.

#195

Reshiram is my least favorite member of the tao trio. I like its fiery avian appearance however.

#194

One interesting thing about Weezing is during the beta Pokemon RB when it was called "LA." Game Freak is very clever with its tricks.

#193

"It wields the most compelling hypnotic powers of any Pokémon, and it forces others to do whatever it wants." Malamar's connection with the all-terrifying powers of Cthulhu is quite creepy.

#192

Ambipom is what the weak Aipom really needed. It never seems to lose the smile on its face and besides, monkeys are always amusing.

#191

Feraligatr is certainly not the last starter you'll see here. Some of its foreign names are rather intimidating, like "Aligatueur" translating to "Killagator."

I'm going to guess Salamence and Squirtle will be one of the next 10. But it's kind of hard to guess when you have over 700 Pokemon to choose from. Razz XD

#190

I like how Game Freak tried to take the mighty glacier concept in everything from Avalugg's appearance to its stats.

#189

Tyrantrum being a king T-rex. What 's not to love about that?

#188

We've got a lizard with the power of the sun. I really like it when Heliolisk fans out its frills in a sun shape.

#187

I like Lanturn's concept of an alluring anglerfish. Not to mention being the first Water/Electric type.

#186

Milotic has got to be one of the most beautiful aquatic Pokemon. Training one is very tedious, however.

#185

Uxie has quite an interesting backstory, being known as the Being of Knowledge.

#184

I like the South American design of Xatu. It apparently can see the past and the future simultaneously by standing in one spot.

#183

I find Slurpuff to be rather cute and very creative with its concept of a cupcake poodle.

#182

Even though Dialga is my least favorite member of the dragon trio, I still like its origins to time.

#181

Articuno is my least favorite legendary bird. Still, I like its grand appearance.

I'd put Tyrantrum WAY higher myself. XD

I'm still going to say Salamence and Squirtle will be soon...

I don't think Squirtle is on the list .

The only ones I don't agree with are Slurpuff and Lickilicky. I also think Charizard and Greninja will be somewhere on the list.

#180

I like Scrafty's concept of a mohawk gangster lizard.

#179

Ninjask being a cicada ninja is rather cool.

#178

I like Hitmontop's fighting style of spinning kicks.

#177

I find it funny how Qwilfish is popular due to being forgotten.

#176

Mustached Stoutland is quite impressive for an early game Pokemon.

#175

Cacturne's dex entries of draining the life force out of victims after waiting for them to tire out are rather creepy.

#174

Braviary has got to be one ferocious bird, being an eagle with tribal plumage.

#173

I like how how Archeops resembles the first true bird, Archaeopteryx.

#172

Sigilyph is quite bizzarre, being a Mayincatec Psychic Totem Pole Nazca Line hummingbird Kachina doll.

#171

Alomomola certainly improved on where Luvdisc went wrong and does the water nurse job quite well.

You seem to like Pokemon based off of animals. So I think Ekans and maybe Sandshrew will be on the list somewhere. And Kangaskhan.

#170

Yanmega certainly turned the obscure Yanma into Megagruirus and made it a powerhouse.

#169

I like the rainbow phoenix idea that Ho-Oh is based on.

#168

I like the whole electric spider concept and giving Galvantula Sticky Web was a great boost to it.

#167

Virizion is my least favorite from the Swords of Justice. Still, I like the origins to Aramis of the Three Musketeers.

#166

I like Swampert despite the frequent overuse of the mudkipz meme.

#165

Metagross being a hulking supercomputer robot spider tank with an X is certainly one popular Gen 3 Pokemon.

#164

Jellicent sinking ships and dragging prey into the depths and looking like Royal Pringles is quite amusingly disturbing.

#163

I like how Mismagius resembles a witch and the purple is quite fitting for it.

#162

Tenatacruel has received numerous buffs starting from Gen 4 and becoming a beast in the rain.

#161

I like Noivern's concept of a stereo speaker wyvern fruit bat.

Oh, and Hawlucha will likely be on there too. High up hopefully, I love Hawlucha. XD

#160

Aromatisse being a flamenco dancer that can release fragrances or foul odors is quite amusing.

#159

Froslass's concept of being the spirit of Yuki-onna is rather unique and she is very beautiful.

#158

Bronzong has amazing defenses and has an interesting origin in the legend of a bronze mirror.

#157

Drapion has powerful pincers and it's cool how it seems to contain Dracula in its name and that it is an ogre scorpion.

#156

Arceus the Original One and the creater of the dragon trio and lake guardians is certainly no joke as it was the former placeholder for the highest BST.

#155

I like Cobalion's origins of Athos from The Three Musketeers.

#154

Durant is quite tough for an ant. It getting Truant is quite odd, however.

#153

Trevenant has got to be one of the coolest names for a Grass-type.

#152

I like how Donphan has a tire for a trunk and back and how it appears in the opening credits in Mewtwo Strikes Back.

#151

I like Machamp's resemblance to Goro and how it has tons of strength and looks like a bodybuilder.

I also like all of those Pokemon. Though I did not think that Durant would have made the top 200.

#150

I like how Vivillon has a variety of patterns making it the most traded Pokemon.

#149

I find it weird that you cannot breed with a Nidoqueen.

#148

Flygon being an antlion is one beautiful dragon.

#147

I like how Arcanine is based on Shisa and how many of its Pokedex entries reference the real world.

#146

I like how Azelf is the Being of Willpower, and like how Uxie drains your memory if you look at its eyes and Mesprit turns anyone messing with it emotionless, Azelf petrifies anyone abusing it for a millenium.

#145

I like how Forretress is essentially a combination of a clam bagworm and a depth charge and how it's a mystery of what's inside its shell.

#144

Nidoking resembling Baragon and a heavily armored rhino gorilla dinosaur is one powerful Pokemon.

#143

Groudon is my least favorite member of the weather trio. Still, I like how it, being based on Behemoth, represents the continents, resembles a dinosaur, and is associated with sunlight, volcanoes and magma.

#142

I like how Shaymin has two forms and resembles a grassy hedgehog.

#141

I like how Honchkrow is a crow with a stylish feather hat resembling that of a mafia don.
