Super Mario Maker

Damn I forgot about all that stuff with the new game announcements, this is by far the best update yet. I'm still hella pissed about there being no slopes, but this was honestly probably the next best thing. The keys seem to be adding SO MUCH to the experience, and I'm really amazed with how much you can do with them. Plus the spike things are a nice addition as well.

The key update is now available! I'm going to try it out in a few minutes, definitely the most interesting update for the game so far.

I haven't uploaded levels after the update yet but the new update gives so much more freedom to level design, I can make more adventurous levels.

I went ahead and made a level using keys, pink coins, and skewers, called Skewer Adventure (lame name I know but I couldn't think of something better ) so here's the code for that if anyone would like to try it out: CCF0-0000-01EE-BE73

In case anyone is wondering Tetra, Nabbit and Balloon Fight are unlocked in normal mode and the others are Expert and Super Expert. I like how they included fan favorite characters, retro characters lesser known character and even an eShop character.

Baby Mario standing makes me feel uneasy XD

I already LOVE the new course elements. Can't wait to make more open-world levels(currently working on one) and boss battles that are easier to create. Gonna include Skewers in the rest of my castle levels, dunno about the other themes tho.

Super Expert's gonna take out some annoying levels in Expert, which hopefully I can beat more times now. The map music and background have neat details, with it being in space and spiced up music.

Looking at points of failure were also a helpful addition, I have a lot of sub-areas and the level select's mini failure points is limited.

It all sounds like a great update. Especially the keys. I can't wait to use keys and see other levels using them in interesting ways. I never finished the levels I worked on but the keys will be good for one of them. Super Expert sounds fearsome, I'll give that a try when I clear expert (Still working on normal currently).

Yes, Baby Mario looks strange to me. I think it is because Baby Mario is always sitting down in the original Yoshi's Island. It is odd seeing him stand up like that.

Captain Toadette is the latest costume and the game wii be getting some maintenance soon.

I''m guess they will fix the glitch with levels being pulled fast and add in the Roy and Ryu costumes.

Captain Toadette? They really are getting low on ideas aren't they? XD Still I liked using her more than Captain Toad in the game, so it's nice to see her getting a costume.

The next costume is not Yuu Ayasaki from the visual novel Boku to Koi Suru Ponkotsu Akumal. It's the character from Daigasso! Band Brothers.

So this makes a little more sense since that visual novel is not something I could see Nintendo including a costume for.

I'm guessing they're adding her due to her inclusion in Band Brothers, not the fact that she's in a visual novel. But they have struck deals like that for this game before so it wouldn't be that surprising either way. She's a nice inclusion.

I'm glad Toadette is being added as a mystery mushroom costume. I also like how it is based on her appearance in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Using her voice clips from that game. I will definitely unlock that costume.

As for that character from Daigasso Band, I think she's a good addition. Nice to see another character from the game Barbara is from as a mystery mushroom costume. That character is cute.

The next costume is Starfy.



That running animation was pretty cool and it's nice to finally see him as a costume.

Weird, I thought they had completely forgotten about Starfy. It's cool to see him added as a costume even if his games aren't the greatest. He's still cute.
