Are there any games you didn't like much when first playing them, but enjoyed them later?

For me, it's Fire Emblem. When I first played the first GBA one, I didn't really get into it. But I played Sacred Stones and Awakening on my 3DS, and really loved them. (despite their difficulty Razz) And going back to FE7 after that I also liked it. I guess it took playing Sacred Stones due to the 3DS Ambassador Program to really make me enjoy the series.

Yea, as I didn't really like how Lost Story for the Wii played but playing it later I got a real appreciation for the story & gameplay. At first it felt too much like a sandbox/shooter game & I'm not one for those kinds of titles really. xp

Actually Earthbound. I thought its graphic was worse than the other RPGs so I disliked it first.
...I was very wrong back then, Earthbound is my favorite game now.

It took me a while to think of it, but Super Mario Galaxy was a big one for me, I originally couldn't stand how the gravity system worked and it bothered me badly, but then when I got used to it I really enjoyed the game and it's one I've played through a ton.

Fallout:New Vegas took a while for me to get into. It's mostly because I had no clue what to do at first. After putting it to one side for a few months, then picking up Skyrim, then going back to it, I found I had a much better idea of how the game worked!

I couldn't stand puzzle games back in the day. I didn't have the patience for them and I generally hate problem solving. But overtime I gradually got into them. Puyo Puyo, Dr. Mario, and Picross are some of my favorites.

Sonic Heroes I first viewed as really horrible, but after playing it a crapload of times I find it to be highly enjoyable if you can get used to the trio gameplay.
