[RUMOR] Big Remastered Game Coming to Wii U

According to a tweet (which I won't post since it's in French ) a big remastered game is rumored to be in development for Wii U, which will release in 2015. Normally I wouldn't believe it, but it's from the same guy who leaked Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, as well as saying Devil's Third would be Wii U exclusive, so he has been right in the past.

I hope this is true, and I'm going to guess it's a Mario game. (this is Nintendo we're talking about, they only have 2 Mario games releasing next year XD) Probably Super Mario Sunshine or Galaxy. Or even possibly both Galaxy games combined into one, but that's much less likely.

It would be really cool to see Xenoblade Chronicles remade before the release of Xenoblade X though. It would allow more people to play the original.

It turns out it just said that a big Wii U game will come out every month in 2015.

If this remastered game thing is true it's likely one of the 3D Mario games or the Metroid Prime games in HD.

BIG?! Well, if I were to take a guess it could be a Mario game. And if one were to be remastered...I'd say Sunshine. I was gunna say 64, but then realized 64DS... Hmmm...

^ Super Mario Sunshine would look pretty great in HD, and they could possibly add optional Gamepad motion control for Fludd.

I kind of predicted that already with my thread from a few months ago. I mean, with all the games they have set to release at certain times next year, they're only really missing 2 months. (and I'm sure other games will be announced before the year ends to fill those 2 months) So that wouldn't surprise me.

Super Mario Sunshine seems like a fine bet to me. Such a beautiful game, and it certainly would benefit from a HD build.

It's a shame the game was criticized quite a bit. The black sheep of the series, but it certainly could use a reboot. Regardless, this is Nintendo so who knows what surprises they have up their sleeves.

I would love to see a Super Mario Sunshine remake. I really enjoyed that game. They could add more shine sprites and maybe some additional Fludd nozzles. It sounds like the most likely Mario game remake to me, but it seems possible for them to do another Super Mario 64 remake.

Big makes me think Majora's Mask with a lot of fans wanting a remake but seems very unlikely for the Wii U because of Ocarina of Time 3D.

^ You know, as fitting as Super Mario Sunshine would be if they decided to remake a Mario game, I really wouldn't mind a 64 remake. I know they've already done one for the original DS, but it would be nice to see the worlds in full HD, and they could change the worlds around completely for new Power Stars to collect, since the Wii U is definitely powerful enough for that.

But still, more than anything I'd prefer a remake of something else, just because I feel like there's been plenty of Mario platformers over the past few years.

It would most likely be OoT (due to Operation Moonfall) or Metroid Prime. Those are the two products that are in high demand for HD remakes.

For me personally, I wouldn't mind a F-Zero HD remake. That was my favorite game on the Gamecube next to Melee.

^ Ocarina of Time? I don't see that happening. Who would buy it after there was just a remake on 3DS 3 years ago? I'd be fine with Metroid Prime though, it might not be a new game, but I'll take any Metroid game on Wii U by now.

Majora's Mask is what I meant. "Moonfall" shoulda been a giveaway.
