Should all Wii U games let you use the 3DS as a controller?

Should all Wii U games that allow for multiple controllers let you use your Nintendo 3DS as a controller? Of course it was just confirmed yesterday that Smash Bros. for Wii U will let you use it as a controller, and now I'm starting to wonder if others should follow that and also allow for it to be used.

I think you should be able to. Personally I prefer the Wii U's controllers, but I think it's a nice feature for those who have gotten really comfortable with how the 3DS controls and feels.

I feel like if it were to happen it should be for something that could take advantage of having two screens, plus the one on the TV. Like how the WiiU pad gives a player their own screen to look at, it'd be the same effect except with another screen as well.

^ Yeah, I guess they could do something like that too, although I think it would be a bit difficult to keep track of so many screens at once.

Otherwise they should be 3DS games.
For Smash Bros., perfect sense.
But let's say, a Kirby game, no.

No, since I think Smash Wii U only uses the 3DS as a controller since both games where made by the same team and I would rather see the Gamepad used for more things.

Actually yea, I'd like it if I could use the 3DS as a controller for some games: not all but some it would be great impo. :3

Personally I'd like it if the 3DS could be used as a controller other then the gamepad. More so if the gamepad breaks some how then you have a free gamepad with your 3DS if you have one to use to replace the broken gamepad with. *shrugs*

Yeah, but I honestly think they would only do that with the New 3DS, the original model doesn't have all the buttons that the Wii U Gamepad does, so it would probably be hard to use it as a replacement Gamepad. But then again, I think they mentioned doing something like that before, so who knows.
