Well this has been going around the internet for quite some time...at some point last year in a shareholders meeting at Nintendo, Iwata talked about how he wants their next home console and handheld to be "closer," as in, being able to use them more in connection with each other. And people are calling this the "Nintendo Fusion," where the home console and handheld are pretty much one in the same. (imagine, the Wii U, but with the Gamepad instead being a 3DS which you can of course use portably) What do you think of the idea of the Nintendo Fusion?
I really don't like it to be honest, and I'm hoping Nintendo doesn't opt to do this for their next console and handheld. Sure, more connectivity between the two would be cool, like cross-buy with Virtual Console games or something like that, but I really like having the separate handheld and home console. Home console and handheld games really have a different feel from each other...I can't really explain the different feel, but I'm sure most of you probably know what I mean. But what I'm saying is that I don't want to be playing the same home console game on a handheld, I like to have different experiences with different consoles.
