Nintendo's Recent Marketing Strategy Empty Nintendo's Recent Marketing Strategy

Okay so in Canada, YTV is the main kid's TV channel so you know.
Anyways, I've seen 3 different Smash Wii U advertisements, one for Yoshi's New Island and one for Mario Kart 7.
I've also seen them have a commerical showing a contest to get a Wii U.
It showed Smash, Mario Kart 8 DLC and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
    All of this on YTV.

This is what Nintendo needs to do.
They are promoting their games and consoles to kids before Christmas

Anyways, what do you guys think of their recent marketing?

I've seen absolutely no commercials for Nintendo games or consoles lately, but that's likely because I only have antenna. Razz At a restaurant yesterday I ate at, they had a TV on which did actually have a Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker commercial. (of all games XD) I've seen a few 3DS ads in the past, but not recently. I think Nintendo is doing a very good job of marketing their games in general though, with the demos, Nintendo Directs, etc. I just think they need to do more than just TV commercials for the Wii U console itself.

Also, I guess they must be marketing towards kids then? If YTV is a kids TV channel. I guess it makes sense for some games, but obviously you wouldn't expect to see a commercial for something like Bayonetta 2 on there. Razz

I've only seen the Smash Bro's commercial while I was eating out at a local cafe with my sweetie. But I haven't seen any commercials for Nintendo stuff outside of it being advertised on cable though; since all I have is antenna to pull in the stations local to me & all. (Not including the internet & usually I have ad block for anything I watch online.)
