Yeah, they tend to make pretty good soundtracks, but I'm honestly a little worried that it'll be like DK: Tropical Freeze where styles were all mixed and it sounded really awkward overall. The fact that that was the last soundtrack David Wise was a part of worries me, but I'm sure it'll be good.

Yeah there's no guarantee that the rest of the music will be good but I believe they will deliver fantastic music for this game. I haven't heard the music from Tropical Freeze but they were mixed like that? I have to play that game eventually. I think I'm being too optimistic but it's looks really promising so far.

Orchestral score for the next stretch goal? How interesting, I'd like to see that one being reached.

^ I mean, don't get me wrong, each individual song was great and the soundtrack was pretty decent, but all mixed together, all of the different styles of music were just all mixed together and it sounded strange. A lot of it also didn't really fit the game, it was just an awkward mix of music.

Yeah same here, I'd be down for some orchestral music. It's been awhile.

^ Oh I see. I'm going to listen to a few of the game's songs, I'm curious. Speaking of David Wise, I've been listening to a couple of Diddy Kong Racing songs like Wizpig's theme as they've been getting into my head lately. Maybe it's this game that reminded me of it. Diddy Kong Racing has some good ones, I believe Wise worked on it.

I don't know how many games from Kickstarter that have orchestral music but this will be one if that goal is reached. I'm sure it'll be reached there's plenty of time left.

DKCTF had a top 5 soundtrack of 2014 so I'm sure the soundtrack for this game will also be on per and it likely did not get much votes for VGA since most of the hardcore gamers could not get over the game not being Metroid.

Nice; though while listening to it; the song reminds me of something I'd hear in DKC tbh. XD

    ^It's the same composer.
Wise did DKC 1 and 2, helped with DKC 3, and also entirely composed DKCTF for Retro.

    New Character!
    Yooka-Laylee - Page 6 Trowza

Playtonic Games wrote:Trowzer is a business-snake whose career never took off. Not that he knows it – the smug, serpent salesman thinks he’s the bee’s knees (not that he has knees), and for a little dosh he’ll teach you some of the slick moves he picked up on the high-stakes sales floor.

Yooka-Laylee’s creative lead, Gavin Price explains: “Trowzer thinks of himself as the best salesman ever, but with his downbeat appearance and 1980’s mobile phone, life never took off for him.

“He’ll take your money and count it (he’s an Adder…) and because he knows best he’ll even demonstrate the moves you just bought for you to replicate… if you can follow his jiggling.”

Character artist extraordinaire, Mr. Steve Mayles described the design process behind his latest creation: “I didn’t want him to be a snake in the traditional sense, and when Gav suggested he should have shorts on (do I have to add shorts to all of my characters?!), a great idea for this was his body could curl back up through the other leg hole. So he’ll move with a certain springiness, which will be fun to animate.”

So there you have it. We look forward to your beautiful fan art and the inevitable furore surrounding how many pairs of pants he’s wearing (or not wearing).

Don’t forget you can still contribute to the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter – and thanks a million for your splendid support so far.

How does a snake in shorts get around; bounce every where instead of slither? XD

I hope they don't go too far.
DLC, not a big fan myself, but they said they will focus entirely on the game itself first.

It should be free DLC for everyone since the game will likely be $20 and the new character looks cool.

Yeah, I wish it were free for everyone. I also love how they're saying it's for thanking the backers for their support, yet it's another 500,000 pounds to even reach the stretch goal of getting DLC for 'free'. Razz That was the same amount needed to fund the game itself, so it seems pretty shady to me...
