Etrian Mystery Dungeon

Atlus and Spike Chunsoft are collaborating for an Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon crossover game.



I'm not really a fan of that style of game, and I've never played Etrain Odyssey, so I'll likely pass on this. But I know some of you like both series, so I thought I'd post about it.

It looks cute, but my ONLY problem with the Etrian Odyssey series has been that you can't explore any of the towns that you go to in order to get any of your items from. It always has a menu to scroll down in order to get anywhere & there isn't any real town just a nice picture of what the town looks like with out there being a in game map of a town to explore. So I've never been much of one who likes the series either tbh.

I figure that I'd only try this title if the towns were accessible & not just a scrolling menu. All that's shown in the trailer posted is the area's that the characters's explore but nothing of the towns is shown. I'm not buying into this until I see a full fledged town. Otherwise; at least it looks cute & they seem to be going in the right direction of what I'm looking for in a game I'd play. But for now I'll resolve to be patient & see just how this game turns out before I decide to get it or not.

I assume the towns'll be menus, some people prefer that, but maybe they'll do a best of both worlds and make a town explorable that you can't quick travel to stores if you want, though I doubt it. But I'm a fan of both series so I'll probably be getting this game.

The game is now officially titled Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and will release in NA in Spring 2015! Not sure about Europe yet.

Anybody plan to get the game next year? I probably won't, but I do at least plan to get one of the actual Etrian Odyssey games at some point.

Yay, a new mystery dungeon game! I do want it, since I liked all of the Mystery Dungeon Games. (Especially Pokemon and Chocobo) Though I don't think it would be released on Korea..

I'll get it, probably a little after it comes out, a mix of two games I like.

It looks fine, but I honestly don't really like the logo. The game releases Spring 2015, anyone plan to get it?

I might if I can find it on sale like I did with Bravely Default & Yoshi's NEW Island deal of buying one & getting one free @ Best Buy. Otherwise I might wait to get it for cheap. *shrugs*

^ Well, considering you enjoy the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, I'd assume you would this too. So you might be pleasantly surprised when you find it on sale and play it at some point. (just saying)

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the Mystery Dungeon series, so I'll likely just pass on it. But it may be something I get eventually if I see it on sale.

Nope; I'm not getting this title since I'm not into the Etrian series at all. Yes, I love the Mystery Dungeon series but not that much. xp
