With the passing of Mr. Iwata I think we will be seeing some people at Nintendo being shifted around soon. It's being reported that Genyo Takeda and Mr. Miyamoto will be in charge until a replacement is found. I think Takeda will end up getting the role if they can't find anyone better. As for the CEO of Nintendo I also think Takeda and Miyamoto will both share the role for the time being.

Of course, Miyamoto and Takeda are currently the acting presidents of Nintendo. But I honestly don't think either will end up the final, both are fairly old already. They want someone younger who they won't have to worry about leaving anytime soon. I'm not sure who that could be...

Maybe it should be Reggie who becomes the next new President? I'd love to see Reggie get in. A lot of fans know Reggie & like him so maybe that could be in his favor? *shrugs*

I think Miyamoto should stay President until NX releases while they decide on a younger one.
I know he doesn't want to be President, but he's a very smart man, and should I be the one leading the company for now.

I think as much as we all love Reggie, at his heart he isn't quite a game designer or has that exact same level or passion for games. He's a business man at heart and a bloody good one! But I think what made Iwata so perfect for the role was his understanding of games and gamers alike.
Reggie is perfect as the US's president and he's done some great things for the company in that role, but I personally feel there's someone better out there for the role of overall president.

^ I totally agree! As much as I love Reggie, he seems to be more of a figurehead than someone who has a true understanding of what the company is doing. I mean, I could be completely wrong, but I just don't feel he's fitting for that role. Honestly I don't think he thinks so either. (If Miyamoto and Takeda don't even feel they'd be able to fill that role, I highly doubt Reggie could)

Reggie couldn't run the whole company in my mind.
Although, I actually think Takeda should be in charge.
I've done a little research on him, he was the one who convinced Yamauchi to buy Rare.

^ My only problem with Takeda is that he's like 66 years old. I feel like they'd need someone younger so as to not have to deal with the same problem again soon. Although I do think he'd be good at running the company.

Zero, in Japan, that's not too old to run a company.
Even if he's only there for 10-15 more years, it's fine.
Iwata didn't pass away because of old age, it was because of some type of cancer.
Takeda seems to have no health issues.
