What's Nintendo's mobile game?

Post by Winters Thief Zero on Sun Sep 27, 2015 4:14 pm

So Nintendo had previously confirmed that they'd be releasing 1 mobile game this year as part of their deal with DeNA. (and 4 others in 2016/2017) We're approaching the end of the year, and, assuming the schedule is still on track, it should be releasing within the next 2-3 months. What do you think it is?

I honestly think they'll start with Mario. He's their icon and it really only makes sense to. I'm guessing it would be a platformer, but I guess Mario has been through quite a few game genres, so who knows.

Although at the same time I want to say Nintendogs or Brain Age, those could be pretty popular on mobile.

Mario Party Mobile.
Those games are so popular amongst the younger ages who shifted to mobile.
It's so obvious, if they don't do it, then that would be bad in their part.

I think a 2D Mario or Mario Kart for mobile will be shown in the next Direct. Then again it could also be something new knowing Nintendo.

I think it's already gone mobile with the well known Pokemon game; Pokémon Shuffle. Yea pokemon maybe done by gamefreak but the Pokemon franchise is still owned (in part) by Nintendo.

^No Queen, we mean the Nintendo-DeNA partnership.
Pokémon Shuffle and Pokémon Go are not part of that.

Yeah, the Pokemon ones are ones setup by the Pokemon Company and not Nintendo themselves. Nintendo doesn't have too much of a say of what they do on the phone department to my knowledge.

For the game I wana say it has something to do with Mario because that's their biggest franchise, why not. But again, I still find it tough to see what exactly will be done yet...

My hopes is for a Fire Emblem or Advance Wars game app that lets you play online with others on your phone, where you take turns moving, but you have a bunch of time in-between moves in case both you and your opponent aren't on at the same time. Kinda like those online board game apps my aunts and mother sometimes play.

Ok, so though Nintendo does own Pokemon it doesn't count. Wow, I remember once upon a time when Pokemon was considered a part of Nintendo's DNA. Razz Ha, word play. At any rate even if neither game count they're still there.

Any who; my guess would be that we'll probably see Mario & Donkey Kong March of the Mini's title would be my best guess. Since I've always seen that series as something that could work well in the mobile market.

I think Nintendo's mobile game will likely be something Mario related. Considering Mario is the mascot and everything. Mario goes into so many different types of games it'd be hard to guess what exactly they will do with him. It could even be something new to Mario. Mario Party mobile like Luma said sounds like a good idea. Touchscreen mini-games on mobile could work, however board gameplay I'm not sure if they would go with the old style of board play, go with Mario Parties 9 and 10 style, or something similar to Advance.

Maybe a port of Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Edition or even a sequel to it is a possibility? I think one of their mobile games being a puzzle games is likely though a port for their first one doesn't sound that good. I have a feeling they'll do something with puzzles or something Mario related for their first DeNa partnership mobile game.

Animal Crossing would be a great fit and could release between amiibo Festival and Happy Home Designer or after amiibo Festival. I think it would put more focus on planting things like trees and flowers. More animal interactions too. They could do some interesting things with that. I believe Animal Crossing would be their second choice.
