User Tagging

This is something I was planning to add quite some time ago, it may have been over a year ago, but I completely forgot about it. So now I'm asking you guys if it's something you'd like to have.

User tagging would allow you to tag users in your posts, so you can mention them in a post while also linking to their user profile and giving the user you mentioned a notification. (of course you'd still be able to use their username without actually tagging them if you so please, it's simply an option) I don't personally think it'd be the most useful option to have, but it's something some people like to use and is just an option, so I figured why not ask everyone?

So what'll it be? Yes or no?

More features that promote discussion = worth adding

Sure, why not? It's not something that's absolutely needed but it could be nice to have. As long as it's optional and possibly includes the option to turn off notifications for users who don't want it. I think it's fine and as 8Bit said, features that promote discussion are worth adding.

I think it'd be a good thing to have, doesn't hurt anything.

I don't really mind either way.

Well the current trend seems to be that we should add them and I don't think there will be many more votes, so we're adding them! They'll be available for use soon.

EDIT: You can tag users by doing the following:

@username or @"user name"

So for example, I can tag @Snanta or @Luma Claus.

In order to tag a user with a space in their username, use " ". You can allow for notifications while editing your profile under the notifications tab, by setting it to on or off.

Well, on another forum I'm meh active at they have member tagging & it's BARELY used. Still, we'll see. ;3

I don't see its uses, I don't care .

I chose the don't care option before reading what it would do.
Still don't exactly care about it too much, but I do think that would be an awesome addition.
