Shantae and the Pirate's Curse

I don't think there was already a topic on this game, but if there was, please merge it. (I didn't notice one)

Shantae and he Pirate's Curse was announced a few months ago for the Nintendo 3DS eShop. It seems 5o be similar to the other games, but what makes this one different is that Risky has stolwn Shantae's magic powers, so she can't change into different animals. She now collects pirate gear and uses those as items.

I'm really looking forward to this game, it looks just as good as Shantae for Gameboy Color.

Still would like to try a Shantae game. This one more specifically. That transforming into animals thing was kinda...myeeeh. Not my cup of tea.

It looks better Shantae Genie Hero and I like the pirate idea so I might get it when it comes out.

Well considering she's a half-genie, it only makes sense she'd use her magic for something. Although I'm not quite sure what it does for this game, I'm assuming the animals were just replaced with the pirate gear.

Yep, looks much better, but there really hasn't been much shown of Half-Genie Hero, so I can't be sure.

Half of the money for the KickStarter has been sent in.

It's good that people want this game to come out for the consoles but, who knows if they will get the rest of the money or not.

Are you talking about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero? Because there is no kickstarter campaign for this game...

And you're right, because many people just donate a lot of money right when it's started, and won't donate any later on.

I think this game may have been delayed, it's supposed to release this year, yet it's already December and nothing new has been announced about it. I just hope it isn't cancelled like every other Shantae game winds up.

Maybe the developers are trying out new ideas and testing it to see how satisfied they are with their work so far.

Well, I'm sure they are if they haven't finished with it yet. But there has been no announcement of it being delayed, and it's still releasing this year as far as we know...I just find it strange they wouldn't announce a specific date, but with eShop games they may announce the exact date a week before it actually releases, so who knows.

Well. Wikipedia says Winter 2013. If we take into account when Winter starts, that's the 21st.

I'd suggest it'd be out on said date or after BUT before 2014.

However, if it's not released by then, we can assume it got delayed even without an announcement.

eShop games just get released without say for the most part. So it could come out next week for all we know.

Maybe the release date would be on the 25th, considering that's when most people get their games.

^ I feel like they wouldn't release anything on Christmas. But there's also the fact that the eShop is usually updated on Thursdays, and that is a Wednesday. So the most likely release dates would be the 19th or 26th, and more likely the 19th. But of course we still have NO IDEA when it will release for sure, could get delayed to Winter next year. (although I doubt it)

Still no actual release date given out yet.

I'm interested in the pirate theme; just have to wait how that will fully affect gameplay.
