While the Wii U hardly had any games in 2015 I was able to put together a top 5.

    My top 5 Wii U games of 2015 Animal-Crossing-amiibo-Festival

While Animal Crossing amiibo Festival is not the game many wanted it's still an alright party game. Sure the board game gets boring with no mini-games and there is still the issue of having to tap your amiibo to roll the dice every turn. With that said many of the fan favorite characters show up for events such as Dr. Shrunk, Crazy Redd, Katie and others depending on the month. My favorite mode is Desert Island where your given a week to find a way off of the island with limited food and tools. This game is also down to $33 on Amazon so you can save quite a bit on the game if you where thinking about getting it at all.

To me Amiibo Festival looks boring as all hell. I legitimately don't mind party games, and even if it was revealed in the worst way possible, an Animal Crossing party game seems like a fine idea. The way they did it just doesn't seem to work well. I feel like a Monopoly-style game would've worked better where you're buying homes or something. Still I guess it looks good graphically. I personally would not put it on my top 5 Wii U games list for last year though.

    My top 5 Wii U games of 2015 Yoshi_big

Yoshi's Woolly World took the use of yarn to the next level with each level feeling different from the last. I also enjoyed using the Mermaid and Mole powers to get through puzzles and all the different Yoshi patterns are enjoyable to get. Sadly the bosses are a bit easy and the game drops off in quality a bit in world 6 so I could not rate it higher for those reasons.

I really want to play Woolly World, I'm going to try to get the game soon, it looks fun. It definitely seems to be underrated.

    My top 5 Wii U games of 2015 Super-mario-maker

I recall when Super Mario Maker was first leaked at E3 2014 and most said it would only be a $20 eShop game. When the game was shown at the NWC it looked like more work was put into the game with and at the time the levels looked difficult. While there are quite a few good and unique levels made by users they get removed after a while if it's not an auto play player or if your not famous. On the other hand the new mystery mushroom costumes and updates will keep people coming back until the support for the game ends in a few months.

Super Mario Maker's pretty great, even if it is severely lacking in a lot of possible features. It definitely has a lot regardless and is fun. Still don't think it's quite worth full price but meh.

    My top 5 Wii U games of 2015 SI_WiiU_XenobladeChroniclesX

Xenoblade Chronicles X is one of the best gems on Wii U. While the characters and the story might not be the best at times there still pretty good with all the different types of enemies you interact with on Mira. As for the party members Cross, Elma and Lin seem to be the only main members since you need them for every chapter and once the others are put on reserve you have to go find them again. As for the chapters they can be pretty difficult to start at times if your not finding new landmarks and exploring every inch of the word. Once you get past all that the chapters are very good and the bosses will take you out pretty quick if you have not been doing at least a little grinding. In general Xenoblade Chronicles X is a good game that I put 25 hours into so far even if it's a little worse then Xenobalde Chronicles in some ways.

    My top 5 Wii U games of 2015 Splatoon0522151280jpg-b0aaa2_1280w

While I never been a big fan of online focused games I have played Splatoon online for quite a few hours. The gameplay also does not feel much like a regular shooter since all the different weapons feel fresh. My favorite thing about Splatoon is the single player mode since it feels like a different game and the the history of the world sure is nice to learn about. At the end of the day Splatoon proves that Nintendo can still try out new ideas and who knows what new IP's can be seen down the line after this big hit.

Splatoon is easily Nintendo's best game in years and the best Wii U game. I love it to death, I STILL play it at least 3-4 times a week. (sometimes more) Every weapon, map, mode, and surprisingly even the gear feels completely unique from each other, especially when compared to other shooters. Love it.
