It seems like you may not get points for buying games physically? I'm not entirely sure what this means, but this is how you get points:

- officially launches in Japan on March 17th (12AM)
- get points for the following:

games (download cards and codes)
games (direct purchases on the Nintendo eShop and Nintendo’s website)

- the following DO NOT get you points

According to the summary on GoNintendo, not sure how exactly physical games will factor in, if at all, as I don't believe that includes them. But at the same time I can't really tell. Maybe the codes are just like the Club Nintendo codes you'd normally get in boxed games.

I feel like if physical didn't get you points then they would have had put that into the don't column, instead of having it not fully specified, though I could easily be wrong and they're for some reason trying to push download sales solely.

^ Perhaps the retail games will be automatically registered when you play them on your console? I remember Club Nintendo doing something similar in it's last year or two where you didn't even have to put in the code. It'd make it easier anyway. But simply not having the option for physical games would be horrible and in many ways make it a huge downgrade to Club Nintendo, which I thought was the reason they discontinued it in the first place.

They where only automatically registered if you downloaded a game. I think the physical games might just come with the tickets and maybe there used for things like posters and folders?

^ No they weren't, it automatically registered my copies for a few games near the end of Club Nintendo, I clearly remember Mario Kart 8 in particular did that, and definitely a few others as well.

So nothing all that great yet. With that said WarioWare: Touched is the first VC DS game to be playable on the 3DS.

SO MANY ways to earn points.

Also DS games on 3DS Virtual Console? Huh. I guess that's just a My Nintendo exclusive deal then.

It's a start of a new week so be sure to sign into Miiverse and the eShop for 30 Platinum points each.

Also when does everyone see My Nintendo updating with new rewards? I can see some new rewards added in 2 weeks or in early May since I think Nintendo plans on updating the selection once a month.

It looks like some prizes are available until May, some until July, or August and some clear til October; so it doesn't look like they're all going to go away at the same time for a new batch, but shuffle out some like every month.

^ Yeah it seems to be something like that. I kind of like it, but at the same time it'd be nice to know when exactly we'll be getting new rewards. They haven't mentioned it at all. I have enough platinum points to get Twilight Princess Picross, but obviously if they add in some other game that's way better I'm going to jump for that instead. But if new rewards aren't added for months at a time then there's really no reason not to redeem it now.

The first new rewards are now available on My Nintendo! There are 3 new outfit pieces available for Miitomo, being a Super Nintendo Hoodie, Bee Suit, and Viking Helmet. I believe they're 200 platinum points each.

The hoodie looks amazing and I need it now. Luckily I have nearly 1200 platinum points, so if I get it I should be able to get back to 1000 pretty soon with Miitomo, Miiverse, and eShop points.

I might have to get all 3 of those outfits if nothing better is added soon. I also agree about the Super Famicom hood looking the best.

So what rewards would you guys like to see become part of My Nintendo?

Personally I'd like more DS Virtual Console games as well as exclusive low budget eShop games like Twilight Princess Picross (although more interesting, there's always so many picross games on the eShop that to me it really didn't matter) I'd love to get Advance Wars: Dual Strike as a DS game, but I don't really see it happening considering how little most people who have a Nintendo Account would probably actually care. Still, I can see there being more DS games considering they clearly made an entire method of emulation on 3DS, and doing that just for a single game would be strange.

Personally I'd love to see a few choice Gamecube games released just as rewards. I could get behind that 100% tbh since there has yet to be any GC titles released to VC.
