Microsoft Ending Production on Xbox 360

Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox 360 production will end very soon. The console will no longer be sold in stores and will probably be gone within the coming months. The Xbox 360 lived around 10 and a half years, 8 years before it's successor released, and sold around 84 million units, making it the second best selling console of last generation. (only behind Wii and just barely ahead of the PS3)

Up until the red ring issue was fixed I'd say the 360 was a pretty horrible console. However, in the end it did have quite a few good games, and the Xbox One has next to none, so it's sad to see it going. Still it did have a very long run.

The Xbox 360 had a nice run even though it was never a system for me. It had a good number of games and I give Microsoft credit for selling that many systems.

Hopefully I can get a new one before they vanish from a few choice big box stores shelves. I never had one & didn't know I'd like it or not until my brother & Queen introduced me to the great games on the system. Yea, I could get an Xbox One because it's backwards compatible, but it's not 100% yet so the investment is still sound, so I'll be getting one with in the week. Can't wait!

I saw this news already on Kotaku, but I'm just glad I got an Xbox 360 before M$ stopped making them. I'm going to hold out on getting an Xbone for quite some time since most Xbone games I can get via Steam & can just play them on my laptop at the end of it all.

Xbox 360 you were an awesome console & the Xbone could wish that it was half as cool as you were. xp
