Star Fox Guard Empty Star Fox Guard

Post by Luma Party Wed May 20, 2015 7:48 pm

Project Guard was revealed at E3 2014, as part of the Wii U GamePad Utilization led by Shigerh Miyamoto.
I've found some Nintendo Treehouse and GameXplain videos for it.

    Nintendo Treehouse:

    GameXplain Project Guard Gameplay:

It looks interesting, I wonder what becomes of it.
Maybe along with Project Giant Robot, and other games, they could make like a "Wii U GamePad Party".

Yeah it looks really fun! If it's released on it's own, I'd definitely purchase it for $5 or less on the eShop. (although I guess the price depends on how much they've expanded it since first showing it off at E3 last year) It looks like a cool game though, I'd love to play it.

I think it ends in being part of Star Fox or a game in a Wii Play type of game. If not I will download it if it's a good price.

Miyamoto has confirmed Project Guard is still alive and in development! Unfortunately Giant Robot seems to have been cancelled.

I'm glad, this game looks really cool!

So Project Guard is STILL set to release this year on Wii U. If it's still on the list now and there's only 2 more months left, it must be coming. When do you guys think it'll end up releasing? It must be an eShop only title, I'm going to guess December release? Maybe it'll be shown off in the Nintendo Direct, it'd make sense.

So Project Guard was obviously quietly delayed, not sure what they're planning to do with it. Maybe they'll just release it alongside Star Fox Zero as a bonus game or something?

I thought that Project Guard was going to be implemented into the Star Fox game is what I thought the way that Nintendo was talking about it. Idk, with out any more information I have no more of an idea then you or any one else does atmo.

I hope it's just included in Star Fox Zero since the game needs a few extra modes anyway and I don't see many buying this game on the eShop.

It seemed like that was the original plan, but then they announced at E3 that it was something separate also developed by Platinum Games. So I'm really not sure...I hope they don't just outright cancel it at the very least, it looks fun. (although of course if it's a full game it'd need to be something more than just the demo)

The game is now Star Fox Guard and it stars Slippy's uncle.

I guess this game is pretty cool if you can buy the bundle.

    YESSS!

I never thought I'd be so hyped for a game that looks so small and minor, but it honestly seems like a really interesting game. I just really like the idea of switching between all the cameras. And having so many stages makes it seem like it'll last longer than we had previously thought.

I had a feeling they would turn Project Guard into Star Fox somehow because of the enemy designs. I thought it was more likely to be merged with Star Fox Zero though. I thought it would have bee better as a new thing. I guess a Star Fox spin-off is fine. I'll try this out, it looks fun. I wonder why they chose another relative to Slippy instead Beltino Toad. We know his uncle now at least.

I actually really like the uncle, his design is pretty great, it's cool that they're using an original character even just for a small budget spin-off title to go along with Star Fox Zero.
