Sonic Mania

Sonic Mania was just revealed as the new Sonic game, coming Spring 2017 to Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

This doesn't look great, but I appreciate that they care about the franchise and it actually looks like they're making a decent game that isn't COMPLETELY BROKEN like Sonic Boom and even Lost World to an extent. Depending on the how the final product ends up looking I may get it on PS4 or wait it out to see if it's coming to NX. (you'd think they would've said so if it was though)

While it is nice that there going back to the classics the game feels likes it's not that different from Sonic 1. I also doubt there will be an NX version since Nintendo mostly just gets the 3D Sonic games on there systems in recent times.

It looks alright to me. I'm not really interested in Sonic, but going back to his roots may just be the thing the series needed. It always seemed to never expand on all the new ideas the newer games had. I may give this a try in the future.

I think it may not come out on the NX because of how infamous Sonic Boom's lack of quality was. However, it is releasing around the NX's launch so we'll see what happens. It could see a release on that system.

I think this game looks intriguing, on one hand it's all of the older games releasing on one package. While on the other it looks like they added new content to it, so color me interested.

Also, I kind of hope it does release to the NX cause then this would probably be the first title I'd get for it. xp

Well, I'm glad this is coming to PC - so I might actually play this one !

It looks interesting, but I'll wait for more info before I make a decision on whether or not to get it.

As expected Sonic Mania is also coming to the Switch in Spring.



I feel like this game should have been show when the Sega worker came up on stage.

Hehe, I saw on the trailer it's releasing to not only the Switch BUT the Xbone & the PS4.. So I'm fine getting it for either console: personally. ;3

Sonic Media will now be released this Summer and here's a look at the flying battery zone.





The level looks pretty nice and it's nice how Sega is  not rushing a Sonic game for once.

Sonic Mania is getting a physical version, Mighty, Ray, an encore and a 4 player mode. Anyone who owns the digital version will get this content for free.

Honestly they should have just made a sequel. I guess Sega wanted to join in on the year of enhanced versions and remakes while also making cash from those hardcore Sonic fans.

All I'm happy about is getting the content for free cause honestly they could have probably charged us who already have the digital version as an extra bit of DLC. So free content is fine with me.

It turns out the DLC was now free after all sadly. It's $5 if you own the digital version and it comes with Sonic Mania Plus. I just used my Gold Points to buy the DLC.
