10 hopes and dream for the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime

Over the years the Pokemon anime has had many positives and negatives. With that said each series has been pretty good with the XYZ being the best yet. Here are 10 things I would like to see in this upcoming series even though I doubt most of them will happen.

I would like Ash to get his own Z Ring in the Sun and Moon series since he never did get a Mega Ring in XYZ. His Pikachu should be able to Gigavolt Havoc and I can also see him getting some of the other stones for the other Alola Pokemon he ends up catching during the series. Sadly the writers will likely give him something like the Ash moves.

Since Alola forms are a big focus of Sun and Moon it would be nice if Ash got one. I think  Sandshrew would be a nice addition to his team since he has never cought a steel type before. Another good option could be Alola Nidoking since Muk is his only other poison type. Sadly the writers will likely just make a special series where the main character has a goal to catch all the Alola forms.

Ever since Brock left the anime the 3rd companion has never been as liked. Tracey was hated the most, Clian was not treated much better and while Clemont was not as hated it's pretty said that even Bonnie gets more spotlight then him. So what if the 3rd companion was different for each island and they help Ash out with his trails? Mellow could show Ash the ropes of the region and her food will always ends up not as good as say Brock's cooking. Lana can act like the big sister of the group and provide Ash and his 2nd companion with tips when things get rough. Sophocles can be pretty much be like Clemont 2.0 and build things for the group that helps them out when Team Rocket attacks. Lastly Kiawe would be the big brother of the group and I can see him taking part in some dance offs with his Alola Marowak. Sadly Mellow will likely be the 3rd companion full time based on the leaked concept art.

There's still many questions about Ash Greninja. While it would make sense that Ash would just dump him off at Oak's Lab those recent leaks make me think otherwise. They even say that Ash Greninja will show up in the Sun and Moon games and the giant shrunken is likely a Z move that can be learned in Sun and Moon if the leaks are true.

Next year also marks 20 years of the anime. So I think an old favorite will come back to the main cast and Gary would be a good choice. Brock and Misty can't return since there goals have them tied to the gym or moving around often. So why not bring back Gary as the 4th character on the cast and have be the cook. He can also help balance out the group with it being 2 guys and 2 girls.

I really miss the days of the dirtbag rival. I feel like a Paul like rival will push Ash to his limits in Alola and would help him not go back to the awful trainer he was in the Black and White series. It would also be a nice change of pace if the female playable character from the games was that rival and maybe she can also be Ash's cousin.

For a while I thought Lillie had no chance in the anime since she does not like battles and it might be hard for the writers to give her a goal. That was until the recent news of the Aether Foundation and UB-01. Her goal can be taking down Team Skull and Aether while also getting the cute starter that never evolves so that the Pokemon Company can sell merchandise for the 3 years of the show.

Here come the crazy ones.

Since the Hoenn series every female lead has been kicked off at the end of there Gen so why would it be different with Serena? While the writers have build up her relationship with Ash so much over the course of the XYZ that throwing her away will make the fans even more mad. Here are just a few examples of them hinting  at them being together down the line.







So those are all the times Ash and Serena almost hugged or in the case of the flashback where a hug did happen. Now let's look back at some lines from some episodes. Either you tell Ash how you feel about him, or I'll tell him how I feel, In the Cave of Mirrors episode Serena asks Ash if they will be together forever, but Ash tells it is obvious they will and finally In the so called date episode Ash gives Serena the ribbon she wears on her outfit and she holds onto it whoever she thinks about Ash. In the upcoming Sun and Moon games Popplio and Oricorio look like they where made with Pokemon Showcases in mind almost like they made those Pokemon for Serena's team.

Popplio's swimming speed is known to exceed 25 mph. It's better at moving in the water than on land. Still, when it's on land, it takes advantage of the elasticity of its balloons to perform acrobatic stunts and jumps.

The Pom-Pom Style Oricorio is very friendly toward people, and it uses dancing to encourage Trainers who are feeling glum. When it dances, its feathers are charged with static electricity. It can attack with these charged feathers, and sometimes it unleashes a powerful electric shock.

The new female protagonist has an option that looks just like Serena.



I really think this was the reason they cut Serena's hair in the first place since she will have the role of the female protagonist in the Sun and Moon anime series. Also based on what we know about the games the new female protagonist does not even show up if you play as the male much like in the Black and White games.



So about a month ago the Pokemon Company took down this picture from Redouble.


For some reason the Pokemon Company only took down that picture. Did they think it was a real leak or where trying to remove false hope? At the of the day I really don't see Serena going to Alola since the higher ups want to see that new eye candy and sadly it's still a kids show at the end of the day.

I think this will finally be the season Ash wins it all. He pretty much only lost in Kalos due to Alain absorbing Ash Greninja's moves and based on how Alola works he might just need to beat the 4 Kahunas to be the champion.

I think it's about time we see Ash take on the Champion's League that Cynthia brought up in the Dimaond and Pearl series. We can finally see Ash battle his old rivals again like Richie, Harrison, Tyson, Paul, Cameron and Alain. He can also battle select Elite 4 members, the champions and the final battle for the title of Pokemon Master would be his Dad. This just seems like a good way to end Ash's story after 22 on the show even though it will never happen until the games stop selling while. The next main character would be no other then Ash's kid and then the anime can focus on the kid for the next 20 years.
