Free updates will keep happening until December, Octo Expansion is out tomorrow and 3 Octoling amiibo will be released this year.

Octo Expansion coming out this soon was a nice surprise and Zero was right about free updates lasting longer.

I'm also hyped beyond belief for the Octo Expansion. But the free updates continuing for six more months was a pretty huge announcement as well, I half expected it of course, but we've already seen Splatoon 2 being supported with new content for so long as it is and getting even MORE is just crazy. I also find it interesting that in PR and the like they keep calling the Octo Expansion the "first" paid DLC for Splatoon 2. Do they plan on releasing more later on?

I'm not that big on Orange Juice. I'm guessing I would go with Pulp though If I did drink it though.

When the Switch Online paid service goes live later this year, you'll have to pay to play Splatoon 2 online. Paying the $20 fee will grant you access to online play for Splatoon 2 for the entire year, but if you don't pay, you'll be left out in the cold. Does this mean we're about to see the player base for Splatoon 2 shrink in a major way? Producer Hisashi Nogami isn't too worried.

“We imagine it will have some sort of influence or effect by the addition of Nintendo Switch Online. [But] we want to use Nintendo Switch Online’s addition as a way to redouble our commitment to the community and reaffirm for them that we’re going to support this game more and more.”
Nogami's comments would seem to indicate that more content is going to hit Splatoon 2 to show fans that the game will continue to get support even after the paid online service launches. Could that mean there will be content made available that users will have to pony up some cash for?
“It’s not to say that there’s no possibility that we’ll ever consider releasing some paid premium multiplayer content. The main thing we want to maintain is this even playing field for players.”

Being on the least popular team is how you win Splatfest most of the time and I would not be surprised if did crossover outfits as paid DLC or something like that.

I have to say this is the best water stage yet and it's nice to have a Splatling that controls different.

Both of the new weapons are really interesting. Unless you're counting the Squeezers as having multiple ranges, I'm pretty sure the Ballpoint Splatling is the first one to do that, and it makes for some very unique battles. The Explosher is also very different from most anything else we've seen in the game. Lots of cool stuff here. Splat Zones on the new map seems really difficult but otherwise it's fun.

The next Splatfest will be worldwide and it will be Squid vs Octopus.

I see Squid winning due to them saying anyone who picks Octoling will be able to play as them for this Splatfest.

Ancho-V Games is now available in Splatoon 2. 





I liked the changes they made to the stage and the new Bloblobber weapon is also pretty cool.

I really liked the new stages they showed and the new weapons also looked pretty cool.

A new update that adds 4 new weapons and the final new stage Skipper Pavillon is now available. 

Tonight at 7pm PT, #Splatoon2 Version 4.1 brings the 2nd batch of Kensa Collection weapons. These familiar weapons are equipped with either the new Fizzy Bomb sub or the new Booyah Bomb special!

The new stage is pretty cool and even though it sucks it might be the final stage added 23 stages are more then enough if you ask me.

The final Splatfest is Chaos vs order and it will take lace from July 18 until July 21st.



I hope Chaos ends up winning so that Splatoon 3 is set in a destructive city.
