The Dualie Squelchers are now available in Splatoon 2.

A pretty good weapon if you just want to ink some turf. Not the best weapon when it comes to range though.

Now that's one combination I didn't expect to see! I love the squelcher weapons from the first game and the dualies seem pretty cool, putting them together should be pretty interesting. Definitely gonna try them out when I get the game.

The new stage Shifty Station will only be available to play during Splatfest.

I guess this won't be a regular stage until 2019 then. I really like the look of it and it's a shame they did not name it the Twilight Zone.

The whole idea of a stage that shifts around for each Splatfest to essentially create a new stage is really interesting, I love it. I'm sad I'm gonna miss all the different forms of it though.

The splatfest will use cream and red ink and the Sploosh-o-matic will be added tonight.

I was not expecting red ink and it's nice to see a weapon being added for the 3rd straight week.

Red ink? That's the first time they've done that, I never would have expected it. I'm kind of sad I'll be missing it.

Splatfest results for Japan, North America, Australia, and New Zealand are in. Mayo has won in all of those regions.

Japan:

North America, Australia, and New Zealand:

Europe is still playing as of right now and results are waiting.

What does that "solo" result mean for Splatfests now?

The solo results means how many battles both teams won in the solo battles, which is basically Regular Battle, where you go by yourself and get paired with randoms.

Team results means how many battles both teams won in the team battles, where you gather up a team of 4 friends and fight against a team of 4 randoms.

Pretty much all of my matches where against other Ketchup players so I'm not surprised Team Mayo won. Here a ton of updates come to the game via datamine read at your own risk.

Datamine:
Dataminers have been pouring through Splatoon 2, and just recently they found a motherload of new details. Obviously some of this stuff might be considered spoiler for some people, so I'll place it after the jump. Click over at your own risk!
- incomplete files for revamped versions of Kelp Dome and Blackbelly Skatepark have been introduced in the 1.1.1 update
- additional maps named Line and Tunnel which are in development
- placeholder images for maps revealed in the Direct named Kawa and Pillar are present.
- Nintendo is including testing versions of Shifty Station in the updates
- devs are currently testing new Salmon Run stages with internal names of Shakehouse and Threepoints
- Grizzco brand weapons are in the works, including a Blaster, Charger, and Brella
- what was known as the player's gender from the original Splatoon has now been replaced by a parameter called PlayerType
- another parameter called PlayerType shares the same values as another parameter, ModelType
- the possible values for these parameters are SquidGirl, SquidBoy, and Oct.
- there's an additonal value named OctBoy
- new weapon type called the Squeezer is in development
Squeezer:
The Squeezer main is a new type of semi-auto shooter where one trigger pull equals one ink shot! Holding down [ZR] won't provide a steady stream of ink, but spamming the trigger will give you rapid fire with a damage output you'll dig! Set up a Splash Wall to protect your team, then head for the front lines! The semi-auto style is a great way to control your ink use. Put even far-off foes on notice with the Sting Ray special! If you've got confidence in your aim, give this single-shot set a try!
Foil Squeezer:
We took a Squeezer, slapped the manufacturer's logo on it, and the Foil Squeezer was born. BOOM! The main weapon has the action of the original Squeezer, but it now comes with Splat Bombs. So flush 'em out, then take careful aim! Blow up the front lines with the Bubble Blower special, then charge in with your team and take out the opposition! It's a fairly aggressive set, but the main weapon requires steady aim, making it suited for veteran battlers.

The Splat Brella will be added tonight.

I enjoyed how this weapon was used in hero mode. I'm not sure how it will online though due to it being a very selective weapon.

The next Splatfest is Flight vs Invisibility.

I'm going with Flight this time and I feel like this is finally a balanced choice.

I have to say I'd probably go with invisibility just to be different. XD And because I feel like there are so many other ways to travel already.

The Classic Squiffer is now available.

I can see those pro charger players making the most of this weapon in Turf Wars.
