Weekly Jump Magazine Says Nintendo Will Release Splatoon News on June 9th

According to the latest issue of Weekly Jump Magazine in Japan, Nintendo will be revealing new Splatoon info that will "shock the world" on June 9th. Source

Interesting...we already know about the Octo Expansion so I can't really imagine what this might be. If it's something bigger than the average Splatoon announcement, I feel like it might be more than just new content for Splatoon 2. It could be something like an anime, something not game related.

I'm thinking it's some out there mobile game. If it was about Splatoon 2 they would just show it on Treehouse Live. My other guess is a Splatoon anime or they somehow got Splatoon running on the 3DS.

Considering Splatoon has managed to do really unexpected and crazy things in the past. I can't imagine what "shock the world" could mean to them, it certainly must be something. They've done Pokémon, Sponebob, and Ninja Turtle splatfests. As well as other crossovers and such. I don't think it's a splatfest, but to me it sounds like it may be a pretty insane crossover of sorts. Hell, I think something with Fornite is a possibility at this point.

I'd love to seen an anime.
