HAL opens mobile Subsidiary, first title due out Fall 2017

Post by Gameguy1996 on Tue Aug 22, 2017 12:48 am

It seems like HAL has opened a new studio call HAL Egg that will create mobile games with there first title planned for Fall of this year.

Nintendo Soup wrote:HAL Laboratory, the well known developers behind the original Kirby and Super Smash Bros. games, has announced the opening of HAL Egg, a new subsidiary under HAL Laboratory that focuses on making smartphone titles.
HAL Egg will be making mobile apps for “new game characters”, and is planning to release its first mobile title in Fall 2017.
More information on the company’s first mobile title will be coming in the future.

This is a really smart move to just open other studio for smaller mobile games without wasting any of there talent over at there main studio that is sure to make more Kirby games for the Switch in the coming years.

So I assume this studio will be making games for mobile like BoxBoy? I'm fine with that, I think it'll be cool to see more titles like that releasing from HAL.
