My top 5 3DS games of 2017

While some might say the 3DS is dead it's 2017 lineup would say other wise. Here are my top 5 3DS games of the year.

While I'm not the biggest Metroid fan I did enjoy what little I played of Samus Returns. Even though I only played to the 2nd area I enjoyed all of the new things they added and the team should make a a brand new 2D Metroid next

It was nice to see a remake of my second favorite game in the Mario and Luigi series even if some people did the dumb thing and downloaded the game for free and stuck the finger out to Nintendo. The Bowser's Minions mode really doubled the playtime of Superstar even if the mode was kind of meh it gives me hope that the Paper Mario game would add an extra mode as while if there ever remade.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon does a good jump expending on Sun and Moon. With new ultra beasts, more Pokemon to catch, every past legendary can be caught and the Rainbow Rocket storyline. Sadly the legendary Pokemon being random, Rotom being more annoying and 2 of the elite four still being reused is why it just missed the mark for my number 2 spot.

Fire Emblem Shadows of Valentia is quite a different Fire Emblem game. The game has updated art, a new character in Faye, acts over chapters , no weapon triangle and 2 different stories. To be honest I liked how they split the story into 2 since, it forced you to use all of the characters and I really enjoyed the voice acting as while. The only thing I wish this game had was the class changing from the recent games due to it giving the villagers more options.

I really enjoyed how Ever Oasis mixed elements of Animal Crossing and the Legend of Zelda. The characters and story where also pretty good. The only thing I disliked was how you always had to return to the Oasis to switch out party members. I would love a sequel on the Switch some day even know I doubt it will happen after poor sales.
