by I thought New Super Mario Bros. was a great addition to the Mario lineup, however there were a few levels I didn't find very enjoyable.

At the time of release, a new 2D Mario platformer game hadn't been released since the SNES. So it was really cool to see them adding onto them again. It's a pretty fun game, and I still play it every once in a while.

One thing I like about this is it is more harder then the rest of the New Super Mario Bros games, and in order to get to some worlds you had to defeat a boss in mini-form. But other then that, I didn't really like this game.

It was the first 2D mario platformer in around 18 years so, yeah, people were excited about it.
