This game is going to be huge then. I mean, we already knew that really, but 300 hours is a REALLY long game, even for a JRPG.

It just keeps sounding better and better. It sounds a bit like a Nintendo version of The Elder Scrolls to me sometimes (I mean that as a good thing, I love TES), but I am more excited for it than ever. I hope those 300 hours aren't spent grinding or repetitively trying to beat difficult boss battles.

I wonder when it will be released outside Japan though. I doubt they will release it in Europe before the U.S, but I think it will take a lot of time to translate everything. And, we have only heard the japanese voices so far. I hope it will at least be released before 2016.

The game will be 22.7 GB to download, will be compatible with the Wii U Pro Controller (which was expected) and will retail for 8316 yen in Japan, the equivalent of US $70.

Okay that's great and all that it's huge, but $70? I really hope it's not that much in the rest of the world, that's way too expensive for me and most people...

It'll be $60 at the most Zero.
The Japanese market is different.

I'm sure GameStop will sell the game for $90.

Most of the video was good. Though I don't like how your custom character does not talk.

@Luma
I know that, but I believe even considering that, the price is higher than most other Japanese games. But I could be wrong, I can't seem to find prices around anywhere for other Wii U games in Japan.

@Gameguy
Yeah that's disappointing, they could've at least done something like Fire Emblem Awakening, where your character would occasionally say some phrases, and in different voices depending on which one you chose at the beginning.

Also, the game apparently includes an online multiplayer mode! You can play in specific multiplayer quests with up to 4 players. It's not as great as letting you play through the main game with friends, but it's definitely nice that it has at least some form of multiplayer, especially online multiplayer.

Uh, Link is a silent protagonist & everyone seems fine with that. So I think XCX will be fine. I'll never partake in the online portion of the game myself thou. *shrugs*

So yeah Gameguy, you were wrong. Razz You CAN customize your character's voice in the game after all. Here are the different voices you can go with:

Male Voices
Shintaro Asauma (Classic)
Kouki Uchiyama (Rival)
Eiji Miyashita (Hot-blooded)
Shinosuke Tachibana (Honor-Roll Student)
Tetsuya Kakihara (Shounen)
Souichirou Hoshi (Teenage)
Daisuke Namikawa (Military)
Toshihiko Seki (Brother)
Masaya Onosaka (Kansai)
Hideyuki Tanaka (Samurai)

Female Voices
Ai Maeda (Classic)
Rina Satou (Tsundere)
Yui Ogura (Whisper)
Shiori Katsuta (High-Class)
Maaya Uchida (Spoiled)
Sumire Uesaka (Ditzy)
Atsuko Tanaka (Military)
Ami Koshimizu (Sexy)
Ryoko Shiraishi (Kansai)
Mariko Suzuki (Traditional Japanese)

Awesome! Although it doesn't seem they talk that much, maybe a couple of lines that they say throughout the game?

It was just Elma, Lyn and Tatsu talking in the video. I guess they keept Cross mute though since they wanted to keep the voice actors hidden until the right time though.

Here's some new info from Twitter.

Basically, as opposed to Xenoblade you can equip different things on your left and right arms, otherwise it's the same as Xenoblade (head, torso, legs feet). Kojima just goes on about having more stuff that's reflected in the cutscenes compared to Xenoblade and how that's great for players.

That's nice how you can equip gear on your arms now.

Just adds more details to the character editor, which is nice, it can be fun to put gear on your character. There's really not much they could have for arms though, so it's kind of pointless, but I don't mind it being there.

Here's some more info.

- the Frontier Net exploration system is used to seek out resources in order to survive
- you can also look for pods that contain cryogenically-frozen humans to add to the population
- Data-probing is where you go around looking for “Frontier Net Spots” to dig for data
- sometimes you’ll find rare minerals like the all-purpose “Miranium” or “Rare Resources”
- you'll also find treasure chests by completing quests
- this is where you can get upgrades for the Data Probes
- use the Hopper Camera to get a good look at what lies ahead
- also use the Hopper Camera to find some routes or secret areas
- “Navigation Ball” will help guide you to your objective area
- this can be used as many times as you want

Source

The Hopper Camera should be helping in a big world like this and the Navigation Ball should also be helpful if you don't feel like looking up a guide.

Which doesn't help my feeling that this game feels like it's what would could essentially be a Starfleet Academy survival type of game. A game in which would show what a Cadette would learn in order to survive on an planet should they get stranded there after a starship gets destroyed in battle & or etc... Facehoof Sorry, I can't help that my brain keeps me going there. >.<

What. O_O

That all definitely sounds good, there's really going to be a lot to do in this game.
