    Day One:

So both me and my mother Hayley started our adventures today, Hayley taking FireRed and Myself taking LeafGreen. We left our houses and stepped foot into Pallet town for the first time, iconically trying to leave but being stopped by Oak...

We were took to his lap to choose our starter pokemon, I chose Bulbasaur, the finest contender of the 3, where as Hayley chose Squirtle, I didn't mean to get the advantage on her, we kept it a secret until after we picked.

So we went out and got Oaks Parcels and some Pokeballs, and we made our way to catch our first pokemon. Hayley seemed to have it in her head we were aiming to catch ALL THE POKEMON... so she went back down to the start to catch a Pidgey and a Rattata.

I on the other hand went looking for a Nidoran... but the bugger never showed, I'm assuming he isn't in this version, so I settled for my favorite bug type line... Weedle~

After a bit of training with our new pokemon we called it a day.

Day Two: We knew we had to battle Gary at some point, but with Hayley having an extra pokemon to train no way was she ready. So I suggested she trained a little more, Her Squirtle was about 10, Ratata at 6, and Pidgey at 4. Where as my Weedle had already evolved into a Kakkuna and was at level 7, and my Bulbasaur at 14.

So we focused on training for a little while, until her Rattata was at 8 and my Kakkuna about 9. We took on Gary and both won with our respective starters.

We knew we had to move on head to Viridian Forest, but of course Hayley, still with a level 4 Pidgey needed to train. I decided to get Kakkuna to the next level and evolve him into Beedrill, where I stormed though the forest ending with my Beedrill at 13.

Hayley was training her pokemon and is probably about ready to take on the forest now, but we decided to call it a day from there, ready to take on the forest tomorrow.

Sounds good. What Nidoran were you looking for? Male or Female?

Plus, you can't find them 'till Route 3.

@SZ: They're also kind of boring... if I had to catch something from the start of the game, I'd have to be one of the cool poison types, or maybe a Mankey...

@Zero: Yes, I literally mean my mother. She's played though R/B/Y and G/S/C before this.

I remember playing Pokemon Snap and Puzzle League with my mom, though she never plays anymore which is disappointing, I miss the good ole days. It's nice to see that you two still play games together though, Pokemon brings the families closer.

Ah, okay, my mom really plays nothing, maybe some online puzzle games I guess. I'm sure she wouldn't like Pokémon though.

My mum was like that before FR/LG, this is the first thing we've done in years! It's just a little throw back to the first games really, which is nice~

Also, just want to note out:

We didn't play yesterday, we had dinner too late so we didn't get around to it.

    Day Three:

Today Hayley decided to stall me for an amazingly long time before playing, she was too "busy" on Candy Crush. So I decided to train for a bit on my own, getting my Beedrill and Bulbasaur up to 16, evolving the Bulbasaur to Ivysaur.

When Hayley did start playing she had to get though the forest quickly, mainly using a Pikachu she had just caught. She manged to get that thing up to Level 11, and her Squirtle up to level 15 somewhere along the line.

With us at the end of the forest we went straight to Brock, the Gym Leader. It was pretty easy as we both had pokemon strong to Rock/Ground, we went to get the running shoes and trained a little, I got my Pokemon both to 17, where as her Squirtle evolved into Wartortle and there was so much joy.

We then decided to have a little battle, Wartortle put up a good fight against Beedrill, but couldn't really cut it after I used Focused Energy, he eventually got chipped off by Pikachu, leaving the rest to Ivysaur. He pretty much just put everyone to sleep. Apparently Rattata was only level 6, so not much of a threat anyway.

It was an easy win due to stats and status elements, but a win never the less. With that done and me getting slightly annoyed with all the weird crap my mum was saying at that point... we decided to call it a day.
