So puzzles are a big part of Zelda, does anyone think there will be unique puzzles like in the actual games? I've never played Dynasty Warriors, but from what I've seen of it, there really aren't any puzzles involved in the games. I hope they add some into it to give it more of a Zelda feel.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any real storyline, but maybe it continues from a previous game?

Link did open a chest in the trailer so it seems like there might be a few puzzles.
As for the storyline. It likely takes place during the Hyrule war.

But opening a chest just means he opened a chest, doesn't necessarily mean the game has puzzles in it. It could just be for getting new weapons to use in battle, and you don't even have to do anything in order to get to them. Although who knows, but I do still hope that while it is mainly supposed to be like the actual Dynasty Warriors games, that they add in more Zelda elements since it is a crossover, rather than just throwing Link in there.

Well usually in any kind of cross over platform the game dynamics where the character is placed into stays the same & that's usually about it.. Just look at Kingdom Hearts; if you think about it; it's in essence a huge cross over between Final Fantasy & Disney's franchise games as a whole. xp

I know, that is actually true for most crossover games. But I do hope that they do more with it also being a Zelda game rather than it just being Dynasty Warriors 9 with Link being a new playable character in it because it's on a Nintendo console. If that actually is the case, then it seems rather pointless to even have him as a character imo, unless it ties into the story somehow. Although I suppose it does make people who aren't into Dynasty Warriors to play it just because it has Link. Razz

Here's a second trailer analysis from GameXplain on the game, as there was stuff they didn't cover in their first one. I thought it was a cool video, so I'm posting it:

Gamexplain want over good points again and the Zelda in this game looks like the Twilight Princess from what I can see.

I think it's way too blurry when zoomed in so that you can see her, it might not even be Zelda. The only thing I can see is the very bottom of her dress which appears to be purple like in Twilight Princess.

Tecmo-Koei has confirmed that Hyrule Warriors will be releasing in Japan this summer. So I'm guessing we'll be getting a release date for other regions around the same time it's released in Japan. My guess is July or early August.

Hyrule Warriors will be releasing in Japan August 14th according to Famitsu. It also gave a few details on the game:

    - Link sets off to rescue Princess Zelda, who has been kidnapped by the evil witch Shia.
    - Link, Impa, Shia, and some of her minions (whose names start with 'Va' and 'Wi') are characters in the game
    - Location includes Hyrule Field
    - Some unexpected playable characters.

    Source

August seems a bit late, but hopefully it releases here around the same time. I like the characters so far, and even though it doesn't seem interesting, at least it has some kind of storyline. Razz XD

^Better storyline than Super Mario 3D World. XD

I think they slotted this on the calendar in a good spot.
It won't be overshadowed by Mario Kart 8, but isn't too late.

^ Lol, yeah, but everything has a better storyline than a nonexistent one. Razz XD I'm guessing there will be a bit more to the plot than just that if they stay true to main Zelda games. But since this is a spin-off, maybe not.

Personally I think it would've been better if it were released at the end of July, but I guess it's not too far off from that.

It could release in early fall outside of Japan for all we know.

I was hoping that Zelda would be playable. On the other hand it cool that Impa is likely playable. Also there's was something said about unexpected playable characters. So maybe Ganondorf and some more villains are playable?
