Well the Owl Statues are also warp points, so they can still be used as that unless they also have a different way of warping.

^ Oh really? Well in that case, I suppose it makes sense that they'd keep them. I can't think of another way they could do warping if it only lets you warp to certain locations.

Interesting, these new Feather Statues. Are they going to be a consumable item like Deku Nuts? Would make rupees a little more useful. The Owl Statues are still probably there for warping purposes and maybe the old quick save method as well. I'm curious if the Owl Statues will be in the Japanese version but I'm unsure if the Song of Soaring was in the original Japanese version, would be annoying if Japanese players couldn't warp. Maybe Tinge will have something to do with these Feather Statues because of his Balloon or likely the Owl.

I don't know if I like the idea of change coming to MM at all. Being able to remember to save & time warp was half the fun with the way that the game was paced impo.

I like how there adding a different option for saving and I'm sure they will also keep the old way of saving.

    @Yusei
Surely the fact that the Owl Statues are still there means you can still use the old way of saving. If you prefer that way, the option is still there, but for newcomers, I do think it's a nice feature personally.

If I get a New 3DS XL, which I likely will at some point, I'll probably pick this up along with it. I know it can be played on the original ones, but it would be a nice game to start out the New 3DS XL with.

Here's some more changes from the original N64 version of the game:

-reworked environments with new props and decorations placed around
    - improved character models with smoother animations at 60 FPS
    - up to three save files on a single copy of the game
    - owl statues no longer need to be activated by striking them with a sword
    - Sheikah Stones return and provide video hints
    - Pictobox has its own icon on the touchscreen for taking multiple pictures
    - fishing hole locations: one near the Shooting Gallery outside the Southern Swamp and the other in the Great Bay
    - free fishing with a Fishing Hole Pass, redeemable for a single use
    - choice between a standard fishing rod and a rod with a Sinking Lure
    - Garo’s Mask now looks like the Garo Master's mask
    - with the Giant Mask, Link can now swing Twinmold around by its tail and smash it into the ground
    - Deku Link can now shoot fully charged bubbles in a straight path
    - strange eyes behind the boss’ masks are now the weak points of the bosses when they are stunned
    - these look like the eyes on Majora’s Mask

These all sound like great changes, so I'm glad they're being added. ^^

    Iwata Asks is back.

Iwata Asks wrote: Hello everyone, this is Satoru Iwata of Nintendo.

Since we weren't able to reveal any new Iwata Asks interviews at all last year, it's really been a while to be able to share with you a new interview.

Last year I fell ill and had undergone surgery. Many of you were probably wondering if my illness was the reason for us not revealing any new Iwata Asks. But to be honest, I've been thinking about taking a break from it so I could recharge, even before I found out about my condition.

From about the end of last year I started thinking about bringing it back up on the table again, and was wondering what would be the right title to bring it back with. It was at that time when I saw people's strong reactions to our announcement that we're making a remake to The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I was surprised by those reactions, but now I knew what that title would be.

I hope we can do a good job in trying to convey even a portion of the secrets of a game that deeply struck so many people's hearts. It has become quite a lengthy interview, but I hope you'll follow through to the very end.

    Spoiler:

    http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/3ds/majoras-mask-3d/0/0

It's nice to see the return of Iwata asks and I thought the game was in the works for a bit longer.

Yeah didn't they say 3 years? I mean, that obviously must've been a mistake considering it's a remake that doesn't really change all that much, and the original only took a year to finish. Razz

I'm so glad Iwata Asks is back! I loved reading through them honestly.
