by Super Smash Bros. Brawl had some demos for VC games. I thought they were pointless, as they only let you play for like 3 minutes. It just took up more data on the disc that didn't need to be used up.

Perhaps, but it let people see some of the games that the characters originated from to try and have the players get the games that they may have never heard of.

Hm, well I suppose that's true, allowing more people to buy more games from Nintendo on Virtual Console. I guess it's just a way for Nintendo to get extra money, but they didn't need to buy Smash Bros. to find out about the games.

These games were a nice addition, to try out demos of past games, but most of the games the players already have, so in a sense pointless depending on the player.
