It is false, however, the first console from Nintendo was the Japan-only Color TV Game, not the Game & Watch Gallery.
Should they have different coloured toads?
I will not be able to update the poll tomorrow as I'm heading to Kawartha Lakes this morning and won't get back 'til tomorrow night.

I would prefer more distinct characters than different colored Toads. Even 1 red toad is better than having 2 of them.

Should the Wii U Gamepad be optional?
I voted no, as without the gamepad it really isn't a unique console. Aside from the games, Nintendo's unique consoles is also what makes them do well. Plus, I love the gamepad. :3

Yes. Certain things SHOULD be optional.
I understand having the small screen would be required for specific goals and such but they could'a utilized the control scheme with a simple press of "Select" to show the map in video games with a normal controller. Having to look forward and down repeatedly was something I got irritated with in Pikmin 3 and gave me head cramps.
I think I rest my case.
