by It's unknown what's next for the Metroid franchise. Some say the franchise is dead but, I don't think it is. Will the next game be Other M 2, Prime 4 or something new? Wii the game be on the 3DS or Wii U? I hope that the next Metroid game is something new since I don't think we need a new Prime game and Other M was not the best Metroid game.

I haven't played Other M, but due to everybody saying it sucks, I don't think they should make a sequel.
On the other hand, I HAVE played the Prime series, and it's alright, but I prefer the games like Super Metroid, and would prefer they make a 2D Metroid next.

I'd like to see a new Metroid, having end on what people say is the worst of them would be a bit tragic, but at the same time it'd be nice to see some other games getting new ones.

Y'know, Retro is currently working on Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, but considering it's going to be releasing in November, it's likely they're either working on Metroid now or will start development after DKCTF releases. I'm sure they have some ideas for a new game.

According to chronological order, either the new Metroid game will follow Fusion or fill in timeline gaps. Maybe we can have some new elements in the future?

Personally; I'd like to see another game with the bounty hunters introduced in Metorid Prime Corruption myself. I mean you get the feeling that they've all meet before & impo it'd be interesting to see a game where the story line is shown how these characters all meet. I think it'd be interesting myself. xp

I think that happened with Metorid Prime Hunters for the DS. I'm unsure as I've yet to play the title.. Still another game with the Hunter characters couldn't hurt.. I mean these characters were introduced in MP3C & there isn't much of a back ground story for them. I too would like to see more about the Hunter's; though it might be some time before anything comes to fruition. XD
