What Drives You to Play VGs?

Is it because they're fun? It takes you away from reality and into a fantasy world? Characters and their personalities/quirks/whatever? Eases your stress? Good way to vent anger?

Normally, I play because they're fun and I enjoy certain characters(Jade from TotA an example for latter).

Sometimes, boredom strikes and I don't play for weeks.

Normally I play them in order to find more masterpieces that I could really enjoy playing, like Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy 4/6.

Really it depends on the game, there're plenty of ones I play just to play as for nothing else to do, or there's the ones that I enjoyed/didn't but I need to get everything in them so I continue playing even pass the point of it no longer being entertaining. Or there'll just be times where I want to immerse myself into another type of set to feel accomplished in doing something else.

I play for the story. Yea that's right: story. Usually. XD That & VG are a major part of my entertainment since movies don't appeal to me as much as they used to back when they weren't crap. <.<;

Video games for me are more for entertainment really; as with Queen.. I suppose I also play video games for the enjoyment of it. There are times where I don't play games for weeks on end myself; but it's usually because I get busy with work & life though.

Multiple reasons, mainly because I simply enjoy playing them. At times it also takes me away from stressful situations in the real world, so I can just get sucked into the VG world. Unlike Queen, I never care about the story in games. It's nice to have a good storyline to compliment the gameplay, but if there isn't a story or it's a terrible one, I don't think it takes away from the gameplay.

A bit of everything, really, but usually just as a form of relaxation. Though I wouldn't say they get rid of my anger; half the time, they're what's causing it  .
