It looks real, they wouldn't add in new concepts for Mario vs. Donkey Kong if it wasn't planned to release. But although the games are usually good, do we really need another? Especially the games in the series using minis, we've seen it so many times. They should make one like the GBA version but I don't see that happening, even for an eShop game.

I still think will see this game release at some point since Game & Wario, Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros U were just tech demos back at E3 2011.

Seriously? Of course it's going to be a game. I highly doubt they would make this and just leave it as a tech demo, almost every Nintendo tech demo has become an actual game or at least a part of a game. So I don't see why this would just never happen.

There's been tons of tech demos just left like that Zero.
Super Mario 128 for example.
Just go on mariowiki and see all the Mario tech demos (that makes not even 1/2 of Nintendo tech demos)

^ But games such as that were not fully thought out, plus the example you gave (Super Mario 128) DID turn into an actual game;It was Pikmin according to Miyamoto. And that would make sense judging by the footage shown.

I never will unless the price drops to $5 or less. (which won't ever happen) It looks like they put in barely any work, it's almost the same thing as the previous games in the series with a couple of new mechanics. (that don't even seem that different from the others honestly) It's definitely not worth $20.
