Got around to pre-ordering some amiibo. I ordered Peach, Toad, Lucina, Robin and Ness. Also got the MP10 bundle that comes with a Mario amiibo (it costs the same as just the game itself).

Ended up being $190 Embarassed but it will be worth it Razz

^ I certainly hope it's worth it for you, that's so much. XD

I don't want to spend too much on Amiibo figures knowing the cards are likely just around the corner. But I'm definitely getting Robin and Lucina when they release in Spring. And even though I never use him in Smash, I'm honestly thinking about getting Wario's Amiibo...it looks like the most well done Amiibo yet.

It looks terrible Zero.
He's got two stands under his feet, and he looks awful in the costume.

Yeah, he has two stands under his feet, but there's so much detail, and it looks almost identical to his official Smash Bros. artwork. Also, the WarioWare costume gives him actual personality unlike the other one.

I agree with Razor, beside for the two stands Wario looks pretty good. I'm going to hold off for the Super Mario version though.

It looks like amiibo have sold about 2.6 million in the US alone.

PR Email wrote:Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U sold over 1.7 million physical and digital units and 1.3 million physical and digital units, respectively, in 2014.

Total sales of amiibo figures in 2014 are nearly twice the sales of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

PR email

That good news and I guess Nintendo will make even more money off of amiibo this year.

I find it ironic how amiibo sold more than the game they were made for. XD

If you want to buy the Super Mario set version of the Mario Amiibo, well...too bad! It's for a limited time going to be exclusive to the Mario Party 10 bundle. Source

I wasn't planning on buying one anyway, but why would they do this? Can't they just sell it separately from the beginning? I don't want Mario Party 10, so if I wanted the Mario Amiibo, I'd have to wait. Hopefully it'll only be for a very short time.

The bundle is sold out on Amazon so I was a good move on NOA part.

Toys R Us will be having a 4 for $44 sale on Amiibo until the 31st.

I plan on heading there early on the 30 since Lucario comes out on that date and I might get a extra Lucario for my cousin as a birthday gift.

I mean, I'd go there, but it's kind of far away and I don't really have the time to be going there. That, and there's only 1 of the Amiibos I currently want available, Marth, and even then he probably wouldn't be in stock there.

The Nintendo World Store in New York is officially selling all retailer-specific Amiibo. They currently have Rosalina, Lucario, and Shulk Amiibo in stock, so if you live nearby, it's a good place to get them! (rather than having to go to multiple stores just to get them)

I really wish the Nintendo World Store was near me...

WHAT?
They need to open one in Toronto.
Then I could finally get Captain Falcon.

I wish there was one near me then it could be a one stop shopping experience for me. But no; as it has to be all the way out in flipping New York. -_-;

I also wish there was a Nintendo World near me since it gets old going to different stores and I think it's crazy how people waited outside in freezing weather for the amiibo.

Here's a closer look at the third party characters.
