I would like to see Dixie, Takamaru and Marshal. If the roster reaches 55 characters though King K Rool, Ridley, Issac and Dark Pit would also be cool.

There's no way it's true, he specifically said that while Sakurai can change his mind, Shulk will definitely be shown in that reveal trailer. And he also said Chrom would be a playable character, without mentioning Lucina or Robin. I think he probably just got early info from E3 2013, and that's how he leaked the first few newcomers. The rest were just guesses. That's how I see it at least.
