Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir

Etrian Odyssey II is being remade for Nintendo 3DS. Only confirmed for Japan as of now I believe, but it will likely come to other regions as well.



I never played it, so I think the remake would be great for me.

I really enjoyed the first one, or the first one's remake, so I'm excited that another one is coming to/

^ What console was the remake of the first game on? I know the original version was on the original DS, so I'd guess 3DS, but just wondering. If the first one was already remade, I really need to play that one too.

Yeah it was, it was Etrian Odyssey Millenium Girl, I played through the story mode, but never did the classic mode, I enjoyed it.

The official title is Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir. Here's some new details on the game:

- “Fafnir” is the name of the protagonist’s power that allows him to transform
- this will completely transform his appearance while giving him a big boost in stats
- you'll also have different skills as well
- the transformation does have limits
- the heroine Arianna is of the “Princess” class
- character designer Yuji Himukai put quite the effort into her design
- there are roughly 20 different expressions for all the other characters
- Arianna will have over 50 different expressions
- game features animated scenes and voice acting
- there’s about twice the volume of voice-acting
- includes new still-frame event styles
- up to eight different save slots

Seems to be mostly how many of everything there is, but still nice to know. And eight save slots is a lot! Did the other games have that many?

The game releases this Summer in the west!

Looks cute! Too bad I still don't like how this series sets up it's towns as in game menu's. I want to explore the towns not go to a menu. <.<;
