I wouldn't exactly call it 'fun.' That minigame kind of annoys me actually.

    Part 5: The Water Exploration

Quite a lot of screenshots today, many things happened.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-15-22-55-35
During another free day, our rescue team went up in rank to the Bronze Rank.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-15-22-56-11
Chapter 5 is where you finally get an exploration job, rather than rescuing Pokemons or catching an Outlaw.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-15-22-57-13
But before actually getting a job, we hear some terrible news. Apparently, the time gear in Treeshroud Forest was stolen, so the time was stopped there.

But if bad things happen, good things must happen as well. First off, we can now recruit new members on our Explorer Team. Pokemon will randomly ask you to join the team when you defeat them. In the Rescue Team Games, you needed to buy the respective 'friend area's before recruiting the members, but that restriction was removed in the Explorer Games, which is always nice.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-15-23-04-11
Also, the Marowak Dojo is now open. Basically it is a place where you can train your Pokemon. There are many dungeons with their respective types. I suggest training on dungeons where you have the type advantage. (I trained my team up to Lv. 14 on Grass Maze) You can also clear dungeons by clearing all five floors, but I didn't clear them yet since Pokemon in later floors are pretty strong.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-12-24-23
This waterfall is where the Guild sent us to explore. Of course, there is no mystery dungeon here. Or not. Whatever.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-12-24-50
But Equinox's dizzy spell activates again, and it shows him a Pokemon shaped liked Wigglytuff going through the Waterfall and reaching the cave.. So our heroes decide to do the same thing.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-12-31-15
Waterfall Cave is another Water Dungeon. The enemies here actually knows some Water Type Attacks, unlike Beach Cave or Drenched Bluff. So if you have a fire-type starter like me, I really suggest you to train up a lot at the dojo and go through this dungeon. Surskit's Bubble is very dangerous that it could hit Pokemon that are far away, so prepare with some healing items. It will be a breeze if your starter is a grass-type or elec-type, though.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-23-15
After the 8th Floor, we find ourselves a big Jewel. Though Solstice wants to take it, it seems impossible for him to pull. But then, the dizzy spell was activated again, showing the image of a Pokemon which is not Wigglytuff at all getting blown away by the wave after pressing the jewel..

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-24-29
And the same thing happened to us. It would be real painful for Cyndaquil.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-24-59
But all is well when the heroes reach the Hot Spring safely. We will return to this place later, so don't forget it.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-27-29
And indeed, Wigglytuff has been to the Waterfall Cave before! Good news is that Equinox's dizzy spell was declared to be pretty helpful. Bad news is that the exploration turned out to be nothing, considering that Wigglytuff already new the place..

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-31-04
Chapter 6 introduces a new team called Team Skull. You would definitely know if that team are heroes or enemies by hearing its name. Anyways, we will continue at Part 6. Thank you.

There's no way it's a bad team. I also hope that you get some good Pokemon to join you in the upcoming areas.

Part 6: Can't Wigglytuff smell things?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-16-13-30-41
The expedition is coming up! Since our team is working hard, we should get chosen. Or the game won't be continued properly.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-15-46-52
At a free day, we see.. these Pokemon known as Team Skull. Yes, they are the ones we fought on Part 1, but they now have a leader Skuntank. His stench was enough to make Equinox faint.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-16-19-53
God damn it Wigglytuff. Can't you even smell Skuntank's stench? Do you think they will really help the expedition? They are aiming for something, they are going to steal all the treasure you find! (I'm not lying, they really said it ingame)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-15-50-12
But at least Spinda's Cafe opened. We are going to use this Cafe quite a lot, because the juices you can make there can be really helpful. Also the recycle shop's lottery can give us nice prizes. Oh, and this cafe is exclusive to Explorers of Sky, so Time/Darkness Players won't see the cafe.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-16-45-39
    Our rank went up again.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-16-32-26
Also, a Wooper decided to join our Explorer Team. We finally got a new member.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-16-46-57
For today's job, we have to bring Wigglytuff some perfect apples, because somebody raided the guild's food stock and the perfect apples are all down. God damn it Wigglytuff, you stole 90% of our money, can't you use that to buy apples?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-16-47-40
And god damn it Team Skull. You are just pigs for raiding the food. pig

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-17-23-08-43
Anyways, the next dungeon is Apple Woods. The main type is Bug and Grass, so Fire-Types like me will have a pathetically easy time through here. This dungeon won't be very difficult, unless you have the type disadvantage. But still you will be able to pass this place easily.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-49-57
After reaching the 12th Floor, we meet Team Piggies. They apparently took away all the Perfect Apples! Ugh.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-52-23
    Vive le faux rhum

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-53-54
I don't care that you are angry about this Wigglytuff, it is your fault for making Team Skull go in the guild. But making Wigglytuff angry will cause natural disasters like this.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-54-28
Go away, Team Piggies! You probably ate all the apples and left only one to make the guildmaster happy.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-55-16
But a good news is that they will soon be faced with a disaster. Hopefully. We will continue exploring on Part 7. Until then, goodbye.

You think Wigglytuff would be happy that you got the apples back. I also can't wait to see what happens next.

Part 7: The Expedition of FUN!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-18-07-59-16
And so, after failing to bring the apples due to Team Piggies, we have to drop our hopes of being chosen in the expedition. Game over~

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-07-18
And our shady villain Grovyle got the second Time Gear already.. is this the end?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-09-47
But a good news is that Wigglytuff picked everyone to go to an expedition! (Making Chatot confused) Yeah, an expedition is supposed to be fun. You are just treasure-hungry Chatot, you probably just joined the guild to get more treasures. Wigglytuff is the best guildmaster ever.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-25-19
Our objective seems to be exploring Fogbound Lake. Hopefully, we will succeed and have fun.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-27-06
Anyways, let's kick in Chapter 7 and start the expedition of fun!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-37-55
And so, our team and Bidoof (who are in the same group) will travel through the dungeons and reach the base camp. The first dungeon is Craggy Coast, which is another Water Dungeon. This is going to the last water dungeon you will see in the early game, though.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-16-43-05
After passing through nine floors, we reach Mt. Horn, which is another dungeon. There are many bug-types here, so it was just a breeze for me. These two dungeons won't be too hard to pass. They are fun as well.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-19-16-28-04
And if you are having troubles, just choose the 'side path' between the intermissions, where you will be able to grind your team with fun.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-16-50-17
After passing through 14 floors of Mt. Horn, you will enter Chapter 8. Chapter 8 is where you will finally get to unravel the mystery of Fogbound Lake. This is going to be fun, as always.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-16-50-47
And so, we reach the Base Camp. Equinox seems to remember this place..

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-16-51-34
And there was a legend that Uxie, the guardian of the Fogbound Lake, could wipe out a Pokemon's memories.. did it cause to make Equinox lose his memory as a human? Anyways, we will start exploring the area in the next episode. Until then, goodbye.

    Part 8: Meeting Uxie

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-09-25
Solstice finds a red gem. This could be of use later on..

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-16-41
The next dungeon is Foggy Forest. The main type is Normal, and there's a fog on every floor which will lower the power of Electric Types. It didn't really effect Solstice though, since Level 19 is quite a high level for Foggy Forest in this game.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-28-45
After getting through the 11 Floors of Foggy Forest, our team encounters a Groudon Statue. How could we reignite the life that burned with Groudon?

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-29-52
Then Equinox gets his Dizzy Spell again, which tells him to place the Drought Stone in Groudon's Heart. Yes, the Drought Stone is the red gem we got before. Solstice does so, and then the fog in this area gets removed!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-32-13
God damn it Team Piggies, there is no treasure for you to steal here. Go away.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-33-24
Thankfully Guildmaster Wigglytuff saves the day- he just makes us explore the next dungeon, while making Team Piggies wait.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-20-34-29
And so, the 9th Chapter starts.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-22-57-56
Steam Cave is the first dungeon consisting the trio of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. The main type is not fire actually, it is Bug so Fire Types will actually have a breeze in this area. There are still a lot of Fire Types though.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-05-05
Also this is the first dungeon which has a midway point. You first have to go with 8 floors of Steam Cave. And then you can save at the midway point. Then, you have to go with 7 floors of Upper Steam Cave.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-16-11
Meanwhile, back outside, Team Piggies got beaten up by Wigglytuff. They actually tried to kill Wigglytuff before. (No Screenshot for that) Serves right for them!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-16-46
You will encounter Groudon at the peak. This is the second boss battle of this game. Since Groudon is a Ground Type, Water and Grass Types wouldn't really have a hard time. And since he uses Sunny Day before the fight, Fire Types will be able to get their powers boosted. Sadly, Electric Types will have their problems here.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-19-58
The Groudon we found was an illusion, actually. Now here comes the real guardian, Uxie.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-21-20
Uxie takes the team into Fogbound Lake.. which has a Time Gear in it!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-24-37
But Uxie also tells that the Guild has to keep the Time Gears from secret. A thief like Grovyle could take it if the secret was not kept!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-24-46
And so, the expedition ends. We got no treasure, but this was still a successful expedition. Even if Team Skull was not beaten up, they still would have got no treasure. Ha ha!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough - Page 2 Screenshot_2014-11-20-23-25-29
If you got to this point, you will unlock another Special Episode, starring Wigglytuff's past. We will do this later along with the other Special Episodes. And in the next part, we will return to the guild and do our usual work. Until then, goodbye.
