How has this generation been for you so far?

What have you thought of the 8th generation of video games so far? Wii U has been around for over 2 years, while PS4 and Xbox One have been around for over 1 year, so I think it's been long enough to think about it now.

I currently only own a Wii U, and I'm glad. I'm happy with it, and the other consoles are extremely bare in the amount of games they have that actually interest me so far. The Wii U had a terrible first year, but I've been really enjoying it a lot ever since Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors released. I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the slow releases on it this year, but next year looks amazing, and I still have a few games to catch up on. So I'm enjoying it, but it hasn't been quite as great as I expected from the beginning of the generation.

I have a feeling if I actually did own a PS4 like I was considering at one point, I would be extremely disappointed by it, likely only play it once ever few months, and probably would've even sold it by now. So that's another console that hasn't been very great this generation. I'm not sure about the Xbone since I haven't really been paying much attention to it.

I'm very happy.
Course, I only buy Nintendo consoles, but still, I own 15 Wii U games and I think 8 or 9 3DS games.
I still wonder as to who is next to enter the video game market.

^ Hm, that is something interesting to think about. Honestly, it probably would depend only on how popular dedicated gaming consoles actually continue to be. Like, you could say Apple or Valve already entered the game market years ago due to them having online services to purchase games on. Who knows if another company would even consider making another actual console other than the current 3 who do.
