It's a split between 2-1 for the two adventure games. Someone stupid voted the other options, but oh well.
Most Sonic games have legendary music, and the adventure games are definitely not an exception. I'll first introduce my favorite music from each game, then compare the music in general.
Sonic Adventure 1
Run Through the Speed Highway ...for Speed Highway -- This fits the atmosphere of tall buildings and lots of helicopters flying around. Plus, it fits the theme of speed very well, and that's even better since this level has a lot of speed going on.
Sonic Adventure 2
City Escape -- Who could forget City Escape? This music makes a dangerous situation like escaping from the city so fun to go through. The lyrics are also good.
Comparison
For the actual comparison, Adventure 1 slightly edges out Adventure 2. While the quality of musics in both games are masterpieces, I thought Adventure 2's music was too mainly consisted of rock (most levels in the game), pop (the general music), and rap (Knuckles' Levels!). Sure, they were nice to listen to, but sometimes I wanted different things to listen. Adventure 1 had much more variety on music, and the themes range from rock and roll, orchestral music, electronic music, and much more. Adventure 1 wins, due to having better set of music.
