RUMOR: Gamecube games on the Wii U Virtual Console?

Comeing from an issue of Retro Gamer...

Backwards compatibility with Wii will be included but you will not longer be able to play Gamecube titles.They'll be on the Virtual Console Store instead.

I would like to see Gamecube games on the Virtual Console but I would not take this as a fact because Nintendo has not said if Gamecube games will be on the Virtual Console.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Nintendo does release GCN games for the Wii U's Virtual Console as they'll be pretty much non-compatible with any recent software (considering how even the recent Wiis have removed GameCube compatibility). Additionally, we did get N64 games for the Wii's VC, so GCN games on the channel sounds like quite a strong possibility.

Personally, I do hope Nintendo chooses to release GCN games on the Wii U Virtual Console.

I'm definitely looking forward to this then! I haven't been able to play very many of the GCN games, so it'd be nice.

That'd be cool, there's plenty of gamecube games I haven't played, so to see new ones on there would be nice.

I really hope that the Wii U enables the use of Gamecube games. Gamecube games are my favourite.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to this - at least, it would give me an incentive to drop some money on the console itself.
