Meow coupons are needed to shop for items at the Campground. My only issue with them is that you only get a max of 3 of you don't have any amiibo and you need at least 5 to buy those regular items that Harvey has.

I heard you can also trade them in for 3,000 bells each so that's a pretty nice alternative. You can get a good amount each day so they sound fair from what I heard. Sounds like a good new currency in the update. There are Bells, Medals, and now Meow Coupons.

Personally I did enjoy scanning in amiibo but not every AC:NL character can be scanned in & used in order to have them come over to play. Characters like Mabel, or her sister Label (her card). Also the Zelda amiibo only scans in W.Link & I have no idea which LoZ amiibo will bring in Epona. I've scanned in Link & Zelda both to just get W.Link to scan in. <.<
Still, I really enjoyed the meow coupons. Though after a while it does get kind of boring still, impo. lol

You have to scan in Sheik for Epona and if you scan in Mabel or any character that runs a shop in town Wisp will take there place and you can't use the set shop while Wisp is standing in.

Oh uh, ways to get meow coupons are to do stuff in town that's set so you can get more then 3 if you can accomplish everything set for that week in one day.
