As it turns out, the Pokemon Amiibo can be used in the game, but they won't offer up designs based on Pokemon, simply other generic designs. Source

GameStop has Yoshi's Woolly World listed with a $49.99 price!
I believe it, 2D platformers haven't been full price this gen, and really shouldn't be anyway. This is a nice price, definitely worth it, it looks really unique and fun!

They spent so much time on Woolly World. Like we knew EVERYTHING they showed, nobody cares. Also October release is way too far off, it releases in Europe in 10 days. >_>

I care; after seeing that trailer it made me want it. Tbh I wasn't very interested in this title at all but the more trailers I saw of it the more I started to like it. The more I saw it was like Yoshi's Island just minus baby sitting baby Mario the more I started to think I'd probably want to get it; being a Yoshi Island fan/gamer. So yea; I'm glad they showed more. Even if the trailer did go on for too long; I'm happy for it. :3

The way Nintendo Life talked about it is that maybe the Yoshi amiibo were ruined & not destroyed. Also; this happened in France. No one cares.
