Another bro for Mario/Luigi, Pikmin 3 work, surprises for E3 and more

The following details come from the GT.TV interview with Shigeru Miyamoto...


- Miyamoto says Luigi has always had a special place in his heart, but hasn't always had a chance to stand out.

- Miyamoto says that perhaps some day there will come a time where Mario and Luigi need another brother.

- Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon was created for the 3DS because Nintendo
experimented with a 3D screen during development of the original Luigi's
Mansion.

- Miyamoto has been working on Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for quite some time.

- The Pikmin 3 team is close to Miyamoto's desk, so he's able to work closely with them on a daily basis.

I think this new brother would wear blue if true.
- Miyamoto says Nintendo is working very hard on things for E3. We
might get to see things that haven't been mentioned yet, but we'll
definitely get to see things that Iwata has shown during Nintendo Direct
events.

I kind of guessed all the Luigi's Mansion stuff, as the fact about CGN's Luigi's Mansion being originally able to work with 3D was no secret...

...but Mario and Luigi maybe getting a new brother in the future, that's quite a statement! I'm not sure if I'd like the legendary duo to become a trio...

...but then if this new brother was just used for one game and then maybe spinoffs... would still feel proper awkward about that, a bit like a as if F.L.O.O.D. was an actual character...

Perhaps in a game where Mario and Luigi need to be cloned or something, but I don't really like the idea of a third brother...hopefully that won't happen. They already have Wario and Waluigi anyway.

As for the E3 surprises, I can't wait to see what there is.

I'm looking forward to E3 this year.

E3 will be pretty interesting this year.
I believe it is nearly impossible that Mario will ever have a 3rd brother.

Wouldn't his overalls already be blue though? He might be a different color.

I think Nintendo would use the third brother in a main game before Waluigi .

You're probably right, but it's kinda pointless to do that if they already have Wario and Waluigi...sure, neither of them are Mario's brothers, but they would likely work just fine. Unless there was some gameplay mechanic that somehow wouldn't work without it being another brother. But I don't really see how that would work.

I heard somewhere that Wario and Waluigi are suppose to be the Mario Brother's cousins. Can't remember where at all though...

Anyway, I think they should just get around to making Wario and Waluigi Anti-Heros again... rather than making this third brother thing...

I heard that as well Dark Jester, but I don't think Shigeru Miyamoto ever said that they were. Either way, if they already have them, why would they need a third character who looks just like them?

Some fans made up the cousins thing. Also what if this third brother appeared in Luigi's dreams.

Hm, well actually that could be fitting, if it's not a real third brother and is just part of a dream...that would really be pretty cool!

Yeah, that cousins thing was something Nintendo Power stated, not Nintendo officially.

I thought I saw it on a Melee trophy or something...
