New Super Mario Bros. U

What do you think of NSMBU so far? It looks good to me.
I'm interested in the Baby Yoshis.
Just not looking quite as good as 2...

I like the baby yoshi's and some of the levels but I have to see more before I say it is better then new super mario bros 2.

I like the Baby Yoshi idea it's cool and brings me back to Super Mario World.

Game Informer has dig up some new info

-dozens of levels across one world map,like Super Mario World

-map can be panned around and explored at any time

-game features an auto-scrolling, Boost Rush mode for more of a challenge

-multiple branching paths that let you pick which way to go

-this is much more then the tradition level choosing, which usually gives you only two paths to choose from

-Game Informer spotted 7 worlds: Acorn Plains,Sparkling Waters [tropical], Frosted Glacier,Layer Cake Desert [complete with melting desserts], areas similar to Forest of Illusion and Sky World and a world surround by a tornado

-mid-world fortresses guarded by Boom-Boom

-end-level castles guarded by Koopalings

-Super Acorn power-up makes you a flying squirrel

-Boswer kidnaps Peach once again
I am glad the Super Mario World map is back and Boom Boom but the Koopalings being in is geting old.

New info shows a twist in the New Super Mario bros games were Boswer and the Koopalings throw mario,luigi and the toads out of peach's castle along with a new challenge mode with timed levels and 1 up collecting. http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=185361

This game looks very good and the boost rush mode would be great online.

^Neat information! While the game does have an uncanny resemblance to NSMB Wii, it still manages to get my attention! I'm looking forward to this game (though I hope Nintendo does something new for the final boss fight).

^Yeah that's true! And Bowser Jr. and Boom Boom for curiosity (I'd love to see different bosses though).

Ah well, I'm still happy about the playable Toads (am I one of the few!?).

I kinda want to see what they come up with. Maybe a completely new boss as well.

Oh, I was referring to how whether or not I was one of the few actually loving the fact that there are playable Toads in this game (most people seem to despise those two).

Well Roy seemed to have a new boss fight with that cannon of his. I also like to see new methods of defeating the bosses (perhaps throwing something at them rather than just jumping on their head). I also hope they give us some new music tunes as well (other than remixing the main theme continuously).

Well, they're just pretty generic. Most people are gonna want better characters than just Blue and Yellow Toads, if you get what I'm saying.

They do seem to have some new music in this one, but I honestly liked the other songs. :p

There is some new and old music and the Boswer Jr fight looks a bit different.

Was there a new trailer yesterday or something? I never saw the new Bowser Jr. fight.

I understand (of course I would want others like Toad and Toadette/Peach in instead of two generic Toads). However, to have a Toad as a playable character in the platformers is also quite a happy thing for myself as well. The fact that you could choose your character this time is especially exciting me (Blue Toad all the way! ).

Yeah it seems like it; however, the original NSMB themes are getting a bit overused for their own good...don't you think? Not that I don't like them, but change is sometimes a good thing....
